This is my current D&D OC, but I love him so much I might make a series about him (I did write like 11 pages of backstory for him, heh...). Some of you might know this already but I'm not sure.

@Raijun are you Feline Fantasy?
What are y'all's writing styles? Like do you do first or third person, past or present tense, from one character's POV or several?
(March 18, 2021 - 9:12 am)
I do third person, but maybe one day I'll do first person because it might be fun :P
also I try to do past tense but I often have trouble keeping it that way.

Are you Fallen Leaf?
(March 20, 2021 - 1:26 pm)
I like 3rd person, usally past tense. *shrugs* I don't even know for the last question
(March 18, 2021 - 12:23 pm)
I do first person past tense, sometimes multiple people and sometimes one.
Are you . . . Azalea? Starchaser?
(March 19, 2021 - 7:53 am)
@Maura I'm not Azalea or Starchaser! Are you Lumi?
I like first person the best, although in Dara's story I'm writing third person from multiple people's POVs.

WRITING ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT FOR MY AUTHOR!
HOW DO YOU BALANCE VILLAINS IN STORIES?
HOW DO YOU MAKE SHIPPING FEEL NATURAL?
HOW DO YOU FIND YOUR BROTHER AND DESTROY HIM AS REVENGE FOR THE ANNIHILATION OF YOUR REALITY?
OR WAS THAT MY MOTIVATION?
SO MUCH QUESTION! SO LITTLE TIME!
AND REMEMBER!

Hmm, this sounds like an interesting story.
What do you mean, 'balance villains'?
I have absolutely no experience writing romance, but I have extensive experience reading it (seriously, what is up with fantasy novels having romance in every. single. one??)
There are usually two types - either one charrie (or both) has a crush on the other, or they both hate each other and gradually come to like each other. Or it's love at first sight, but that's usually boring and unrealistic. Not always, but you have to be careful about it.
In one of the books I've read, the main character has a crush on her boyfriend from the moment they meet (almost) and her heart goes fluttery every time she sees his teal eyes lol. Common symptoms of a crush include blushing, getting distracted, shyness, giggling, and flutteriness. Or your other charrie can have a crush and the main charrie can be completely oblivious about it.
Or your charries can hate each other but they're forced to spend time together somehow (Parent Trap, anyone?), and they find out they have a lot in common. Or they have almost nothing in common but still find things they like/respect about each other.
I think my main advice would be to take it slow.
(Wow that makes it sound like I'm an expert in romance lol I don't know if any of that helps)
Are you Emekittycon K?
