Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

What's with all

What's with all the threads with all caps in their title? It's getting annoying and clutters up the CaC, although it hasn't so much spread to the other sections of the Chatterbox. I vote we stop the all caps threads. If I was feeling ironic, I would make this thread in caps, but I won't. :D

The thing I find annoying is that on Down to Earth, almost every thread on the front page has three or more exclamation points on the title. At least one.

Yes. Express your excitement, by all means except bold and overuse of exclamation points. Oh, and random word: echelon. Look up the pronunciation - it's very cool.

*looks up "echelon"* Ooh! That is very thermally unenhanced.*

Ahem. Sorry. You're right about multiple exclamation points and caps, though. Nice we're all so... enthusiastic, I guess, but I'm sure we could tone everything down a bit. Wouldn't worry an awful lot about it if I were you, though. :)

*My insane friends are I are trying to make up variants of "cool." Below room temperature, thermally unenhanced... and the like. *nod* Yes, I know we're bizarre.

*looks it up on dictionary dot com*H'mm. Many answers. Is the one you mean "a level of command, authority, or rank"? How about "a formation of troops, ships, airplaines, etc. in which groups of soldiers or individual vehicles or craft  are arranged in parallel lines, each to the right or left of the one in the front, so that the whole present the appearence of steps"? Either way, I agree. i was going to say more, but I'm getting tired of typing. ;)

Admins, thank you for not posting my comment.  It was somewhat rude and uncalled for and I didn't realize it until I saw you didn't post it. :)

Thanks for being such a good sport, R~D~! Your comment wasn't rude; we just wanted to make sure that no one took it personally. :)

Well, the definition I mean is a math-geeky one that actually isn't in our dictionary, either, describing an arrangement in matrices. Very cool word, though. And Mary W., I do that occasionally - I disliked the overused phrase "hold your horses" so I replaced it with "hold on to your fat little ponies." Weird, I know. :D I excell at weirdness.

Ha, yes. Also, "quiet as a mouse" (mice are loud!) became "quiet as a cockroach." XD Alliteration too.

What annoys me is the number  of quizzes...
