Hi everyone! So
Hi everyone! So if you're on NaNo you know this already (At least if you're on the new CB classroom 2021 the code is WSIOPCIC) anyway this morning my parents told me that we would be moving to Oakland California in August. I live in New York right now so big move. My parents don't want me telling everyone I know irl because well its not happening until August. So not soon. Still I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to deal with a big move?

I've never done a necessarily big move, but I've moved many times, and the best thing to do is to try and find a way to keep in touch with the people you'll be leaving behind. Writing letters, exchanging phone numbers, etc. Another way is to just get it all out. Maybe just vent it out somewhere, like on the CB, on NaNo.... And do that as many times as you need! Also, you should be optmistic. Research the place you'll be moving to, the landscape, the schools, and other things that you'll be interacting with frequently. That way, you can build up some excited anticipation. And finally, just acknowledge the fact that, yeah, you may experience some difficulty. A lot of things in life aren't very fun. And you have to just understand that things will get better, and it will feel like home, no matter where you are.
