Sooo I basically have the best idea in the universe. We should start a WELCOME COMMITEE!! For new CBers! Every time a new CBer introduces themselves, we will head on over to their "I am a new CBer I am so coolcool" thread and welcome them! If the Admin (I'm looking at you fun Admin with balloons!) okay this, then I will need workerssss! Here's what jobs you can apply for:
~Scouts! I will need people to scour the CB in search of New CBer threads! Report RIGHT back to me and I will go over and say hi! Then the
~Informatants (is that a word) will tell the CBer all the things they need to know! Like, what tops are, the fact that they can have a fake name, a link to the ultimite guide to the CB, all that stuff. After the formalities are done, the
~PARTY PEEEEEEEPS will start the party! Cake! Streamers! Other things I'm forgeting!

Oooh this sounds fun!! I could do/have done any of the jobs listed. I know I'd be a pretty good scout, but I also am notorious for cupcake projectiles. (Or at least, Crescent is...)
Informant (I think that's the correct word) I can also do well, but I'm not always in the mood for writing longer, more detailed comments. I am pretty good at answering questions, though. (I think)
Anything really works for me, so I guess I'll have to leave that up toooo yooouuu... (I just thought of the Greatest Showman as I wrote that lol)
Anyway, I think this is a great idea!

This seems like a great idea! However, I think most of it happens anytime someone new joins anyway, so it might not be necessary to formalize it and give people jobs and everything. What do you think?

You're right, Kitten, it does happen, and of course if people don't join they can still say "Hey" or "You should know this:". I just thought it would be a cool and fun idea to make a welcome team. I think it's fine. Admin?
I also agree with Kitten, that people who say they are new are usually welcomed anyway. I don't see any real harm in starting this thread, but I would caution you all not to overwhelm any newcomer with multiple comments that are not reciprocated. Some people may rather just quietly slip in and explore for themselves. The term Informant seems a bit shady. Scout sounds better to me. But to be welcoming and open to answering any questions is fine.
