Hi, I'm new
Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket
Hi, I'm new
Hi, I'm new here! As you can tell, my name is a mash up of black-footed cats (my favorite cat) and bobcats (who I have a research program for. This place seems really neat from what I can tell! I've been getting Cricket for about a year but I just got on here.
I guess I'll introduce myself. Whenever I introduce myself, I write a lot about my cats, fish, and wildcats but very little about myself, but I'll try to just do a quick introduction of myself. If I start writing about cats this will get too long.
Okay: I am a girl and I homeschool, which is good because I am extremely introverted and shy. (I'm less shy online and Chatterbox seems like all the people are safe, though.) I am extremely obsessed with cats. I love playing outside, gardening, reading, writing (poetry, mysteries, fantasy, adventure, and cats, usually mashing them all up), knitting, crocheting, weaving, embroidering, cross-stitching, sewing, origami, scrapbooking, leaf/flower pressing, and general random crafts, cats, conservation, and drawing, painting, and photographing cats. I also like birding and "frogging," if that's a thing (I do FrogWatch, which is a citizen science program for frogs.)
Does anyone have any information about the Chatterbox that might be helpful?
I'll probably introduce my cats and fish and talk about cats in a later post. Bye for now! Also, why does it say I&39 am new when I just put I am new?

Welcome to the CB (Chatterbox)! I'm Majestic Mary (Majestic is not in my birth name). Here is a link to the CB Ultimate Guide:
http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/chirpatcricket/node/204967
It has a lot of useful information! Also, I think the reason it says I&39 is because the title does some weird thing with apostrophes. Anyway, see you around!

This is really helpful! I still don't quite get what a CAPCHA is? I like your name! (I like alliteration.)
Capcha is the term for the code you're asked to type before submitting a comment. Some people treat a specific code as a character.

Hiiiiiiiiii!!! I'm Emekittycon k, Princess of Kitten Kingdom! I LOVE cats too! I love all animals except sharks, snakes, insects, moths, crabs, the Japanese Spider Crab (those things are REALLY scary!), spiders, scorpions, eels, blennies, and mean dogs. I REALLY like music, movies, "A Champion Heart" (I recommend that. It's a REALLY good movie.), writing books (although I sometimes never finish them) writing song lyrics(except that I can never find words that rhyme that describe my feelings at this one guy.), dancing, ribbon dancing, my cat, Thunder, eating pizza, baking brownies and cute boys. You can join an RP by clicking on the "Add new Comment" button on the one you want to join.
And I'm Kitty!!
Ok, Kitty, we really need to talk about your timing.
I'm 2 1/2 months and I always will be! Plus, I can play drums! (plays drums really off key)
KITTY!! YOU'RE MAKING MY EARS BLEED AGAIN!!!
WHAT?!?!?!?!? I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE MUSIC I'M MAKING!!!(keeps playing drums really off-key then stops) What were you saying, Emekittycon?
Nothing. It's wonderful having you on the CB, Blackfooted Bobcat!

Hi Blackfooted Bobcat! Welcome to CB! I'm Agent Winter, resident fangirl and Pretty Bad Artist™. Like Majestic Mary said, you should definitely check out the Ultimate Guide if you'd like to learn more about CB. And the "I'm new" thing is just a formatting error that happens if you have punctuation in your thread title. Anyway, welcome to CB! Read you around!

Welcome Blackfooted Bobcat! I am Peregrine. I homeschool and love reading, writing, doing hand crafts, being outdoors, and making music (I play the violin). I love birds of prey, especially Peregrine Falcons. I am also pretty new here. See you around Chatterbox.

Hi, Blackfooted Bobcat! I love your name, and I am excited to hear about your cats. (And your fish, but mostly the cats.) I have a question. So, I have always wanted to be homeschooled, but now my dream is actually coming to fruition thanks to Covid-19. And I hate it. So, my question is, what is real, actual homeschooling like? Please respond in as much detail as you are comfortable with. On a completely different topic, what is your favorite book/author? Have you read the Greenglass House books? Because from what you said about your taste in books, I'm guessing you would like them.
Hope to see you around!

Welcome to the CB, Blackfooted Bobcat! What are some of your favorite books?
(April 3, 2020 - 9:14 pm)
Wow, thanks for responding so quickly everyone! Usually I hate attention but this actually feels kind of good! Emekittycon k, I happen to LOVE snakes, insects, eels, and spiders (although I'm a little scared of spiders, to be honest, but I still love them, which is strange), and think the Japanese spider crab is really neat! The other creatures I still like, except maybe not mean dogs. It's completely fine that you dislike them, as long as you recognise their importance in their ecosystem. Which I only mean to say that they're important, but disliking them is completely okay. Kitty, I think you might need to practice drums a bit more! You might like my stuffie cat Amethyst Dreamchaser, so I think I'll add her in on my writing.
A.D. Yay!
Agent Winter, what do you mean by a pretty bad artist tm?
Peregrine, I love peregrine falcons as well! (Did I spell that right?) I play the viola. String instruments are neat!<!--break-->
PygmyOwl, normally homeschooling is probably going to be much less chaotic! People seem to think that you can't see anyone when you're a homeschooler but there are co-ops and things you can join. (I go to one that has a nature-y class and an arty class and someone I know from a 4h gardening club I go to goes there. It's really fun, but tiring and on the drive there it's cornfield after cornfield after cornfield...) Personally, I'm at a pretty low level for math but for English I'm pretty high (sorry if that sounds braggy, I'm not trying to) and everything else is scattered around, so you can have classes that actually make sense/aren't extremely easy/are more what you're interested in. I used to go to public school but that was awful to say the least, and I can (mostly) focus and the lights don't flicker and it's much less loud and there are less people and there's not really any bullying. The schoolwork tends to be more interesting and you can take a day to just study cats or write an essy that you want to write or work on your latet book or draw/paint all day.
Amethyst Dreamchaser: And she can take me to every class and we get to play outside more!
Right!
Lastly, I love Greenglass House! Other books I like are Firehorese by Dianne Lee Wilson, Boxcar Children mysteries (they're really easy but I actually really like them), Trixie Beldon mysteries, Book Scavenger, The Secret Garden, A Wrinkle in Time, The Secret of the Ginger Mice, and more.
Sorry this is so long but I wanted to answer everyone.

Hi, I'm Evergreen! I'm an online-schooler, not because of COVID but in general, and I love storytelling (in all forms, writing/filmmaking/screenwriting etc). I'm meyers-briggs type INFJ-T, and I really like reading, watching movies, and spending time outdoors or on the page. I like manga a lot, whether it's reading/drawing/watching.
Look forward to writing with you on the CB!

Hi, Blackfooted Bobcat and welcome! It's so great to meet you.
I'm also obsessed with cats. I love being active, reading, writing, drawing, doing nothing, and beautiful landscapes. I have online school right now because of COVID, and I think so far it's not that bad.
I adore your name and I look forward to seeing you around the CB.

Hi Blackfooted Bobcat! Welcome! I’m homeschooled too, but am not an introvert. I was scrolling through the comments and noticed that you like Greenglass House. I am currently reading it for a second time, and I love it! See you!
(April 4, 2020 - 3:24 pm)
Ay! Nice to see you! Most of the people you saw commenting are not much newer than you are, most have only been here a few months. I've been here since July 2019 though. And I used to think I was one of the newer CBers. Well, guess things change.
Everyone around here is really polite and respectful, and theres not anything thats 'non family friendly' on here. Feel free to ask questions, don't be shy! An admin or CBer would be happy to help.
A lot of CBers go on the NaNoWriMo website, and I recommend you join! It's a site where you attempt to write a novel in 30 days. Its has a lot of stuff to help you along. Currently, everyone's doing Camp NaNoWriMo, which is a fun little writing event. The big event is in November, but anyone could write anytime. Theres also a thing called 'classrooms' that we have, which is sort of like a little place for a group to chat and discuss together. The CBers have their own classroom. You can get your own classroom when you sign up, and there you can enter the code to get in. I forgot the code for ours, but someone will give you it.
If you decide to join, remember there are multiple NaNoWriMo sites. The one with the classroom is specifically ywp.nanowrimo.org. Type that in, and you'll get the right site.
Anyway, welcome to the CB :)

Am I seriously the only one who always comes in last, makes a dramatic entrance and then leaves? *busts door down* WHAT'S NEW? I'm La'Crosse, the most perky, quirky, and cRaZy. I love anime, I ADORE manga.... I just love it. That's me, yeah. *gets in a rocket* TO THE MOON!

Welcome to Chatterbox, Blackfooted Bobcat!
I'm Mountain Spirit. I love cats too. I also love doing crafts, reading, being outdoors, hiking, camping, skiing, and playing with friends. I play violin and I have a cat, a dog, and some fish. I do not usually homeschool, but, like pretty much everyone, I'm kind of homeschooling right now. I'll see you around!

Hi Blackfooted Bobcat! I love cats too, but personally I like dogs more. I don't have any pets though.
I'm not homeschooled generally. I'm doing online school now though.
I also love to read! And I like gardening. Currently, we are planting some vegetables in a raised bed.
