So, I have to read the novel 1984 this summer for the upcoming school year, and I was wondering if any of you guys have read it. If so, what did you think?

I haven't read it myself, but I know the basic plot (mild spoilers: It's very dark). My brother is reading it, though, and finding it interesting.

I've read it, and I didn't enjoy it very much. Nevertheless, I think that the message of the book is quite important despite how terrible all of the characters are. I'd love to discuss it with you!
