My parents and two older siblings lived in California before they moved to Maine....

I visited family in CA when I was 11. It was nice. Personally, I prefer NorCal--the part I visited. SoCal just...feels like I wouldn't like it, you know?

My friend Mal lives in San Francisco, and my mom's brother, his wife, and their son live in Sacramento.

I don't live in Cali, but I visit a lot because that's where my dad grew up! Most of his side of the family still lives there.

I live in SoCal! I love it here, but the weather... UGHHH. Yesterday it was 102 degrees outside. And it's October! I like to tell people that Santa Monica has two seasons: summer and cooler summer. And very, very, very, occasionally rain. Plus, I've only seen snow like seven times in my entire life.

@Vi, it's pretty funny that you don't think you'd like SoCal! It's definitely an interesting place, to say the least. My area has an abundance of health food cafes, small dogs, boutique shops, and of course, TRAFFIC.

I like to say that Central CA (The valley) has two seasons: Hot and cold.
