Hello, I'm Dragonfruit, I am 11 and I love to read. I also like climbing trees, the smell of wet grass, and Harry Potter. Did I mention I love to read? Yes, I did. I will read anything you throw at me and it is my favourite thing to spend time doing. A few of my favourite books are Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes (though I love the tv series too), the Sisters Grimm and How to Train your Dragon. You could call me a nerd in many subjects. And I'm pretty much obsessed with Koalas.
I don't know any of you guys so it would be really awesome if you could introduce yourselves. I am not new to Cricket, though, I have been getting it for about three years and I love every issue to bits.
I am really excited to be part of such an amazing community. One thing, who are the Admins? Thanks!

Nice to meet you, Dragonfruit! If I may ask, how did you choose you name? Did you just like it? Or is there some personal meaning behind it?
I'm Starseeker, if you haven't already seen the name box. I'm also a HUGE fan of HP, Sherlock (I haven't read the books yet but I love the TV show), and I used to love reading the Sisters Grimm and How To Train Your Dragon. I haven't picked them up in a while, though.
I have also been a really big fan of Cricket for, gosh, um, 5 years? Six? Probably more!

Thanks, Starseeker, nice to meet you. I chose the name Dragonfruit just because I thought it was a pretty cool name! Why did you choose Starseeker?

Welcome, anytime! Nice to meet you also. I though you might have just picked Dragonfruit because it was cool, because it wasn't odd, like Impunity Jane's or Cockleburr's. (Sorry guys, just saw your name boxes and realized you had unusual names that probably have sentimental meaning.) I have always been interested in people's names, both in real life and on the CB. I made a thread about it once, but it died a long time ago.
Oh gosh, I have a really long story on how I chose my name! Like I said I really love names, and so I've put a lot of thought into this. When I was in third grade, so about 5 years ago now, I made a fanfction of a series called Wings of Fire (an epic series about dragons-- please read it!) with my best friend, who became a MudWing named Maloo. I became a NightWing, which means that I'm a black dragon that can read minds and foretell the future. (Eventually I'm going to get more into that on the CB, but not right now.) The name that i made up for that character was Starseeker.
Even now, I'm reviving that story with a new friend, who became Airensis the SandWing. Both of these friends mean a lot to me, and so does the book series. Starseeker also means a lot to me. Not only is it powerful and mysterious-sounding, it's super inspirational, reminding me to reach for the stars.
That probably seemed super cheesy, but it's how I think about it.

Yep! I hate finishing series. What am I supposed to do with my life if I'm not reading? (Very unclear spoiler) It was such a bittersweet ending. My biggest problem with it though was that it made me hope. It made me think "Well, what if..." I love them though and would totally read them again.

I don't have a favorite book, but I usually read fantasy, dystopic, and realistic fiction. I'll pretty much read any book as long as it's fiction. Harry Potter is also one of my favorite series.

I'm the resident supernerd and am obsessed with everything scifi, BBC, DC comics, and superheroes in general.
