Picturings!

Good, old-fashioned written picturings. First come, first served. I probably won't get back to you before Thursday, though. You can guess who I am if you want.

Now, let the picturings...... BEGIN!

May I have one, please?

At first glance, it was a sunflower, just like any other in the meadow. But if you look closer, there's a tiny white thing hanging off a petal. Even closer, and you see that the tiny thing is a cocoon.

The girl watched the cocoon, night and day, for several days. Finally, one morning, it started to break open. She waited patiently as the insect inside dryed its wings, then watched it spread them for the first time.

It had become a beautiful butterfly.

She giggled as the butterfly softly alighted on her arm, then flew away across the field. The girl ran after it.

Soon, the butterfly reached the end of the field, and the girl had to stop chasing it. But she was not the least bit sad. In her imagination, she was flying with the butterfly, over fields and forests, mountains and oceans. Flying free.

Here you are, Leafpool:

The forest stands silently, majestic trees seeming to touch the starry night sky. Everything stands calmly and quietly. Then, the silence is broken by a slight rustle in the bush. It's not a ferocious animal, or even a harmless one. It's a human.

A girl.

She quickly looks around to see if she's being followed, then sensing no danger, appears out of the bush. The girl then starts running through the trees without making a sound, her long brown tresses streaming out behind her. She stops on the edge of a small pond-a pool, really, reflecting the sky- and sits there in silence.
One leaf from the tree above the pool falls into the water.
The girl sits and sits, until everything she sees disappears, everything except the leaf and the pool. They seem to chant words in a rhythm to her:
Leaf. Pool. Leaf. Pool. Leafpool. Leafpool. Leafpool.
