Hi! I'm new to the CB (not to Cricket, though) and I was wondering if somebody could answer a few of my questions.
1. Do I have to put my real name in the Name box in a post? It makes me a little uncomfortable sharing my real name with the Internet.
2. Are there 'accounts' on CB or is it just that you use the same name from time to time?
3. Do you have to have a Cricket subscription to be on the CB? I'm worried that if my subscription expires for a time I won't be able to get on CB
4. Who are these 'Admins' that people are talking about? I don't mean any offense if they are reading this, I just want to know. Also, are they the same as the 'Mods'?
5. How do I create a subject on a post?
6. Is it the CB or just CB? I'm confused!!!
7. Everybody seems to know each other and know everybody's names. How?
There has to be a lot of people here. I don't know what people are
talking about and I feel kind of lost.
8. I'm very confused as to what KYNGDOM is exactly. I read all of
the information pages and THE STORY SO FAR's, but I still don't get it.
My grasp of it is, you create a character and post as that
character in the KYNGDOM section of the CB while continuing a story. It
is all very confusing to me, as everybody seems to know who each other's
characters are already. Where do I create a character? What are all of
the 'Power of' things (power of feather, power of claw, power of fin,
power of hoof), and how do I know which one I should post in?

1. No. You can make up a name to use on Chatterbox. That's what most people do. It's best not to use the same name as another person. If you happen to pick a name that someone else already uses, someone will let you know and as you to change yours somehow to make it unique. Or you can use your real first name, but then only the last initial.
2. No accounts. Just use the same name so we'll get to know you.
3. No, you do not need to subscribe to Cricket to log on to Chatterbox.
4. Admins are the administrators who review each comment for suitability before posting.
5. To start a new thread, look for the box near the top left of each Chatterbox home page (Down to Earth, Chirp at Cricket, etc.) that says "Click here to talk about ____." To reply to a comment, look for Reply.
6. Either CB or the CB is fine.

I think the Admin covered things pretty well (if you didn't see, Admins post in italics on your post/comment occasionally) but I'll clarify a few things.
4. Like Admin said on your post, they are Administrators, which is the same thing as a Mod. The only difference is they are also in charge of posting the comments/threads, not just watching over them. Pretty cool people if I do say so myself!
5. So I don't know if Admin helped you or you were wondering more. But if you meant like a "title" thing, then usually put that as the first line and put it in bold. It only shows a few words (and sometimes it'll only show a "..." for some reason), but that is how you get a title/subject. Otherwise, what Admin said is telling you where and how to post.
6. Well, CB or the CB stands for Chatterbox, so you can use it either way. Some just call it Cricket, or even Chatterbox, although that really isn't common that much anymore.
7. Haha, lemme think. I guess we only have like 20 active members and a few who pop up time to time. Spend enough time here, and you'll get to know everyone I think. 20-40 people is not a lot, and we are a tight-knit community, so you'll have our names down in time! Although I have to admit, for a lot of the newer people I still look on other pages to verify the name.
8. I am just as confused as you! I recommend talking to Claaws, Gared, etc. A lot of people here know what Kyngdom is, but I believe it focuses on the Cricket magazine for hints or something. Since I don't get that, I cannot really participate I think. But that is something the other kids can help you with.
Oh, and welcome!! Feel free to ask any more questions, and things. And just to let you know, if for some reason you see your thread (or post) disappear, usually is because the first comment makes it sink down. So hit the "submit" button once, let it load, and then hit it again. It'll be in one of the top parts. The second comment makes it pop right back up again!

Look at the "CBers. Hmm..." thread. You can add your name, once you decide on a name, and you can see the list of other CBers.
I feel the same way about Kyngdom, so I'm not much help, but I would suggest asking about it on the Q&A thread.

Welcome! To answer your final two questions;
7. We just kind of 'learn' each other's names over time, as we interact with each other online. A few people on the CB are friends in real life, so it's easier for them. We don't expect you to learn everyone's name right away. Don't worry about being lost. We all felt lost when we first came on here, but we each had a brigade of friendly CBers (other people on the Chatterbox) who helped us out.
8. Kyngdom is an interactive storytelling game, where you create a character and write from their perspective, sending them on quests with other people's characters. It seems a bit confusing, but I recommend that if you want to become part of it, you go onto the 'Ask the Editors' thread and ask some questions. There's a nice girl named Viola? who will be able to answer most of them for you. You can create a character on the Who's Here? thread. Also, you should be posting on the RP Board and the Power of Hoof at the moment.

6. The CB is shorthand for The Chatterbox. Either one is fine. The Chatterboxers (denizens of the Chatterbox) are commonly known as CBers.
7. Everyone knows each other because a lot of people have been on the Chatterbox for a while. We've seen each other's pseudonyms, written stories with each other, and talked on Down to Earth and Chirp at Cricket. It's interesting how you can get to know someone without ever meeting them. Hello, Madam/Monsiouer Yet-Unnamed! Welcome to the CB! It looks like everyone before me has already answered your questions, but I wanted to offer a warm handshake and a promise of answers to any questions you may have. Oh, and I'm going to answer this one just because:
7. Keeping track of everyone is tough. Believe me; I still don't have everyone straight. But part of that is because I've been on this website for two and a half years, and I've seen a lot of faces come and go! Still, as you interact with other CBers and read their comments, you start to see personalities, writing styles, and attributes form. It just takes a bit of time!

I'm not good with introductions, so I'll just fill you in.
A Power (see my other two posts on your other thread on CaC, or Chirp at Cricket) isn't something you should choose to post on. No Power but Hoof should be posted on, because Wing, Claw, and Fin have all wrapped up as far as their story lines.
The storyline of Kyngdom centers around the Power of Hoof as of right now, so that's really the only one you should post on. Post on the main page or the RP Board! :-) The RP Board and groups pages are both at the bottom. If you make a tgread
CB stands for chatterbox, so The CB would probably be most correct.
