Rocky's in the
Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket
Rocky's in the
Rocky's in the Animal Emergency Room. He just got attacked a few hours ago by another dog. The doctor said he may have a punctured lung.
His skin is swelled up.
My parents are out of country, so we can't contact them. And my grandparents are downstairs deciding what to do.
He's eight years old.
He's going blind.
I just.... I ...
I have no idea what to do, or how to feel.
but I'm praying.
I'm praying that my grandpa will go back and find rocky in the waiting room,next to a smiling nurse who'll say he's totally fine. And that my family won't have tgo pay anything. I'm praying my grandpa will pick him up, and bring him back. Just so I can Put him in my bike basket, and carry him to the park. And feed him buttered popcorn. And fall asleep watching a 1980's movie with him on my lap.
Please pray for him. And me, if you don't mind. Sorry if this sounds selfish.

Aw, I'm so sorry for your loss, Kaleidoscope! I've already had a pet die in my life, and I'll make sure Rocky is in my prayers tonight. I'm sure he lived a wonderful life with you and it's awful it had to end. <3

Oh no, KG that's horrible, I'm so sorry. Loosing a beloved dog is never fun. I'll pray for you and your family. *hugs* im really sorry this had to happen.

Oh my, KG, I am so sorry for your loss! *Quietly cries alongside KG* I wish I had clicked this thread sooner. I've never lost a pet... never experienced that feeling, but I can understand the suffering you must feel. Try to smile and know he lived a long, fulfilled life. Remember all the things you guys did together, from movies to popcorn to bike rides to the park. Cherish the thoughts, even if you are sad. Sometimes things happen, but everything happens for a reason. Maybe this was a sign that if he lived, he might die naturally to pain as much older dogs do? So in a way, maybe this helped him. Maybe. Please do feel better, I'll keep you in my prayers! *Hugs*l

First off. I am so sorry for your loss KG!! I know those words probably feel like they have lost all meaning right now but that seriously made me cry. I wish I had noticed this sooner. And second, I wrote a poem yesterday that I feel like really matches this. So here gos. *Clears throat*
I watch
as the once newborn rose
withers, and dies.
I listen
as the once strong music
fades, into silence.
I feel sadness.
At the beauty that once was.
At the strength that has now failed.
I am in awe of this beauty and strength,
but sad, at it's end.
Lots of things in life are like this.
Beautiful
and sad.
Is it the sadness that makes it beautiful?
Or is it knowing
that this beauty will not last forever,
that makes us sad?
The thing about sadness,
is that it wouldn't exist without happiness.
Just like the beggining,
could not exist without
The end.

I am very sorry, KG.
Just remember the good times you had with him and cherish him, because the sadness will pass.
I believe that when animals have a relationship with humans, they go to heaven, so he's in a much better place now.
I will be praying for your family in this hard circumstance, and again, remember the great times you had with Rocky. <3
