Say Anything CB
Say Anything CB Version!
I really love this board game called Say Anything, and it's really fun with a group of people! On the Questions thread by Lighting, Cockleburr asked me what my favorite non-electronic game was, and I named this one. That gave me an idea...what if I started a CB version?
So, for those of you that haven't played the game before, or forgot how, here are the basic rules:
One person (the judge) will draw a card and read one of the three questions on it. The question will be something like, 'In my opinion, what's the worst birthday present ever?' And the other players will write something down that they think the judge will like. In this game, you try to think, 'hmm, what's the worst birthday present TO THE JUDGE.' If you know the judge well, it'll help. If you have no idea what to put down, you can skip your turn (Players write their answers on small dry erase boards, but since we don't have the cards or boards or markers, I'll explain the CB version below).
Next, the judge chooses their favorite answer, and everyone 'votes' by placing tokens on the answer they think the judge will have picked. All the players get two tokens, and they can either place a token on two different answers, or both tokens on one answer. You can even place tokens on your own answer!
Then the judge reveals their choice, and everyone exhales at the same time. No, not really. XD Then the scorekeeper gives out points like so:
The judge gets a point for every token placed on the answer they picked (maximum three points per round).
The players get a point for each token they placed on the right answer.
The player who write the answer that the judge picked gets a point.
(I think that's right, but I don't remember for sure, because the rules for scoring were so complicated.)
Then that round is over, and play passes to the left.
CB Version:
One CBer will be the judge. Three other CBers will give an 'In My Opinion...' question, and the judge will pick one (please no yes or no questions;that makes the game less fun). Then everyone can start pouring in with awesome answers. You can say ANYTHING. That's literally the title of the game! Just as long as it isn't inappropriate.
Next, the judge will pick an answer without telling anyone, and everyone can vote. Here's how it will work: no tokens, that will be too complicated. Just pick the one you think will win. You can pick up to two. Then the judge reveals their pick.
The person who wrote the correct answer wins. No point scoring, because then we would have to have the same people for each round, and everyone will want a chance to play. I want this to be more breezy than the original game.
Then the next round starts! As many people as want to can participate in a round, and one round will last maybe four days? Five? Something like that. I'll be the first judge, and whoever wins can be the next one.
I need three of you to give me questions, and then I'll pick one of those (whose question I pick doesn't affect winning, btw). Also, if you give a question, you can still give an answer.
Let's play!

Hey, Leeli? Do you still want to do Labyrinth city RP? I'm still into it if anyone else is. Sorry for putting this on the wrong thread, I just wanted you to see it. And my idea for the most boring night of the year is... an enchanted forest. 'Cause why not.
