I know that a few of you posted on my THE SPELLING BEE thread, and were wondering what happened in the spelling bee. Well, here are the results:
I placed third in the town spelling bee, and got out on the word 'huguenot' I spelled it something like, 'hughenaut' .
Have any of you been in a spelling bee lately?

Wow, Element Girl, thats so cool! I have actually never heard of the word huguenot, how do you pronounce it? That is so amazing, elementgirl, keep on trying!

I believe it's pronounced Hue-gah-not. There's a street near my school that's called Huguenot road! Good job on the spelling bee, Element girl! Huguenot's a hard word to spell! As for spelling bee stories:
Once my best friend was in one and she got out because the English teacher announcing the word had an accent. The word was 'vehicular' and he pronounced it oddly. Now she still doesn't like the word vehicular! XD
