Welcome, BlueWlllow. Captcha is the name of the code you're asked to type before submitting a comment. AE stands for Alter Ego (literal translation from Latin is Other I). It's a character created to show another side of the writer's personality.

So, a CAPTCHA is that little box above the Submit button that you have to type letters in. Some people name their CAPTCHAs and report if they say any words. They are usually imagined as fluffy pets, and are pretty adorable. AEs, on the other hand, are -usually human- characters that CBers make up to show another side of their personality. The personality is usually magnified a lot, and most AEs are pretty wild and crazy. I hope this helps!
