Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

I wrote a

I wrote a song and I wanted to post it. There really isn't a tune. It really expresses my deepest feelings, so I'd rather not say who I am. Please don't guess me.

Once again, now I'm down,

Once again, I'm on the ground,

You think it's funny, but I'm not laughin’.

Once again, I try to speak,

Once again, you've made me feel weak,

You're sinking’ down, and pullin’ me right along with you.

I try to swim up to the surface…

But I know I'm sunk for sure.

I try to hide it, to just put on a brave face,

To just be smart enough to maybe get in second place,

But I know,

That no matter where I go….

And now I know, there's nothing that can change this,

I'm just gonna keep fallin’, fallin’ into the abyss,

Instead I know,

No matter where I go,

I cannot win the race.

Once again, you pretend to pick me up,

Once again, you just drop me like a cup,

My body shatters as I hit the ground from you.

Once again, it's plain to see,

You're not really nice to me,

The hunted has become the hunter, and I'm afraid.

I try to swim up to the surface...

But I know I'm sunk for sure.

CHORUS

But look at this-brush off the dust

Stand up, I'm fine, I'm gonna just

Stand up for what I believe in!

And I'm gonna stand up for what I believe in!!

Joining hands with all the world,

“Please know you're not in this alone.

You're not in this alone…”

Don't try to hide it, don't try to have a brave face,

You can be smart enough to always get you first place-

Believe in me.

And believe in you too.

If only I had known then what I know now,

We'd all be better off if only we all knew how,

To believe in us…

And ignore the haters.

But I tried to hide it, to just put on a brave face,

To just be smart enough to maybe creep in second place,

Oh, if I'd known…

If only I had gone…

Back then I thought there was nothing that could change that,

To just keep fallin’, fallin’ down the mad hat,

Oh, if I'd known…

If only I'd have gone…

I could've won the race.

REPEAT CHORUS, FADE OUT UNTIL END

Wow that is truly amazing! You dont have to say who you are if you dont want to but I think that sounds really good.

That was lovely. The chorus really brought it together. Don't feel pressured to reveal who you are, but I'll just say that I don't feel you have anything to hide. Plus if you were worried about letting your specific opinion be known, the song didn't give anything away. Thanks for sharing your art with us. :)

Micna says ptxn. PTX in where? Oh, you want to see them in concert! No, we can't go, but I can show you plenty of videos of Pentatonix?

WAIT never mind I didn't read the note at the beginning, my apologies, I just skipped to the song. *blushes* I'm so sorry, disregard anything I said about identity. Once again, I thought the song was very good.

This is beautiful, whoever you are. Do you have the music for it yet?

That was beautiful and amazing, If it was a real song I would listen to it over and over and over again. I really, really love the chorus.
