Gared was attempting to make one of his Alter Egos a homosexual, which Cho and Joss objected to because it is disallowed by their religion. Gared's AE was eventually allowed to become gay, however Cho, Joss, Daisy, Novelist, and Kaleidoscope Gryphon have left as a result.
