Haha! Oh, wow, I did not know that pain meant bread in French! That's so interesting! Nugget, you speak French?

And here is after it was built.

These are really cool, Leeli! How did you make the icicles on the second house?
(December 19, 2016 - 1:59 pm)
Well, this might not make a lot of sense without you being able to see it in person, but I took the piping bag, and held it with the tip touching the edge of the roof, then piped it until it made a small dot, then I stopped squeezing and pulled it away to make the icicle seem like it was stretching down. I didn't have to bring it very far down though, because the icing drips on it's own, making it even more realistic!

Wow, nice house! I like the unique shape of the house and the icicles. I did really good icicles one year, but the ones I did last year were messy. *shrug* Still tastes good.

Lol! XD Yep. And thanks! I really liked the shape of the second one, too!

That looks awesome, Leeli! We have a gingerbread house kit too, so I am looking forward to making it with my family.

Thanks! They're really fun, but messy!

Yesterday I made sugar cookies and billionaire shortbread! The shortbread was for my teachers.

I love shortbread! I bet it was delicious!

I've got another Christmas 'traditon' that my family does to share. So, when my uncle was a kid, he made this 'beautiful' Christmas ornament for my grandma (see below) It's literally a butter tub with a face drawn on in sharpie, and a little tuft of cotton ball for a beard. We tease him about it every year, and it always has to go right in the front center of the tree. Here's what it looks like:
It must have been made with love, and your grandma shows her love for your uncle by displaying it every year.

That's so funny. XD

Leeli, great thread idea! So here is what I have, a question to the Admins:
So, Admin, what are your plans for the holidays?
I'll be home with family, go to church, listen to music (live performances and recordings), play games, do a puzzle, read a good book, take a drive to look at holiday lights, and if the weather cooperates, go skiing!

Admin, sounds like a lot of fun! We happen to be viewing holiday lights as well this week, which will be great.
To all you CBers, how has winter been going? We got hit with a ton of snow which I don't like... too cold. BUT I am really excited about Christmas. Anyone have a lot of snow yet?
