I want some new music. Here is what I listen to currently:
Daft Punk
Nirvana
Dakaiju
REM
I am open to anything, and I can get most music. And if you want me to listen to any of the following things, write a giant explaination why and I will:
Hamlton
Taylor Swift
Any Pop music
Ok, thanks.
I don't really care about language, but nothing too adult.

Umm...
TAYLOR SWIFT.
Why? Ummm..... cause she's awesome.
Hmm, that probably won't convince you. Umm... all her songs feature love and/or heartbreak? Ok, since you're a guy, that will probably turn you away.
Hm. Never mind.

Yes. Sorry Daisy, but I HATE Taylor Swift's songs. I think they're all the same, all about the same thing.

*sigh* Whenever I am lonely or just read a sad book (LIKE DARKSTALKER!!) I listen to certain songs of hers, like Back to December, Last Kiss, White Horse, The Last Time. I suggest you listen to one or two of those if you want to cry.
This is me swallowing my pride,
standing in front of you, saying I'm sorry for that night.
And I go back to December all the time.
It turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you,
wishing I had realized what I had when you were mine.
And I go back to December, turn around and make it all right.
And I go back to December
all the time.

*cocks head* But they all sound the same ... And I like upbeat songs ...

Not to a Taylor Swift fan! I can recognize a song within the first few beats. I'm like, "Yay! Love Story is playing!"
And I am a bit of a romantic, so it all being about love suits me.

*grabs HAB by the collar and shakes him*
HEY! You do realize this is my IDOL?!
My CAPTCHA even says "hevn". Yes, Taylor Swift is HEAVEN!

Oh, Gared, you might like an artist called Drake.
I'm pretty sure he's a rapper, but his music isn't too bad. I can listen to his song "Hotline Bling" without covering my ears, anyhow.
Actually, hotline bling is actually, maybe, sorta, kinda a pretty good song by my standards.
No one heard that.

Anything? Anything at all? How about:
Claude Debussy
Richard Wagner
Johann Strauss II
Hehe, maybe not.
Some random artists:
Coldplay
Reliant K
Jasmine Thompson
Owl City
Switchfoot
Twenty-one Pilots (I don't like their stuff but I know many people who are obsessed)
For covers mostly:
Piano Guys
Peter Hollens
Pentatonix
Some EDM staples:
Avicii
Armen van Buren
Alesso
Chicane
I really like the genre electro swing, though as with any music there is occasionally a little questionable content. Caravan Palace is pretty good. I like their songs "Suzy" and "Dragons".
Hamilton-- I like it. I think it's brilliant. But I don't want to write a long explanation right now... more curious as to why you don't want to listen to it?
Taylor Swift-- Meh...
Any pop music-- Please no!
(October 17, 2016 - 5:16 pm)
Hmm.
I don't recognize any of those artists, so I can't really help you, since I don't know what type of music you like. Sorry.

FALL OUT BOY!
I think one song of theirs that might get you hooked is Death Valley- it's pretty close to pop and has some cool DJ-Electro-whatever-like stuff near the end. Their newer albums (Save Rock and Roll, American Beaty/American Psycho) are more pop-sounding than the others. So yeah, definitely give them a try!
Also, Twenty One Pilots! If you listen to the radio at all, you've probably either heard their songs Ride, Stressed Out, and/or Heathens. I have fallen in love with their sound. They don't really have one genre, it's pretty much ukelele screamo rap electro rock agressive poetry with an awesome drummer- you can't describe them! Some songs I recommend for you are Message Man, Taxi Cab, Polarize, Migraine, Ode to Sleep, and so many others! Listen to them. Trust me.
Other songs-(I'm going to make this into a list because I have waaaayyy too many)-
1. pretty much anything (<--- that is not a song title btw) by Halsey (because she's awesome)
2.If You Could See Me Now by The Script (found out about this one thanks to HAB)
3. Ophelia by The Lumineers
4. C'mon by Panic! At The Disco and Fun
5. Scars to Your Beautiful by Alessia Cara (might be a little girly for you but I think it's very relatable)
6. Hymn for the Weekend and Viva la Vida by Coldplay
7. Reaper; Alive; Chandelier; and Cheap Thrills by Sia (also pretty much all of her songs, she has a beautiful voice)
8. Demons by Imagine Dragons
9. Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men
10. Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood
11. Drive By and Hey, Soul Sister by Train
12. Take Me to Church by Hosier
13. Riptide by Vance Joy
14. Better Than Yourself by Lukas Graham (a very sad one)
15. This is War by 30 Seconds to Mars
Oh, also, my sister found two of these awesome electro songs- Ice Flow by Kevin McLeod and The Buzz by Hermitude. She has a music taste similar to yours, I think- maybe leaning a little bit more towards rock, though. I remember you saying something about not really liking long posts and now I'm making mine longer by saying sorry, ahhh! I just have so many songs I want people to hear! Thanks for reading, sorry it's so long.

*nods*
Yes, I like Riptide and Demons, also a teeny bit of Cheap Thrills although I don't purposely seek out music like that. I just listen to the radio Hits.

TØP and Halsey yay!
(October 18, 2016 - 12:15 pm)
Thanks. Fall Out Boy is the best option I have found.
