Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket
Sharing experiences, even
Sharing experiences, events, problems, advice, bad jokes, and everything in between!
This is a thread for talking. I wanted to share some funny things that have been going on in my life over the past few weeks, and thought you all might want to do the same. So please, feel free to talk about anything- drama at school (been there, done that), crushes, extracurricular activites, singers that you think are amazing, or anything else as long as it's appropriate. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here ;)
1. CRICKETS
The reason I'm sharing this is because of our awesome mag. Anyways...
Our property is infested with them.
You open the door to our garage, and you can just hear what seems like a thousand of them chirping. I find them in the kitchen. I find them in the shower. I put on my shoes the other day, and three or so minutes later, I felt this buzzing against my foot. Can you guess what it was? Yes. A cricket in my shoe.
Buggies, please tell your friends to leave my house alone!
2. Peter and The Starcatcher
First, I should say that I am very lucky to live near a college town with lots of places for entertainment. This college puts on musicals and plays with cheap ticket prices, so I end up going to a lot of them. Last Saturday, my family and I went to see a play called Peter and The Starcatcher. It was very funny and had an awesome cast. Halfway through, there was an intermission.
We waited for along time. Finally, the director came out and told us the man playing Black Stache/Captain Hook had broken his foot. The director said he wanted to continue, but it was too bad and they had to take him to the hospital. I felt so bad!
Luckily, we got our tickets rescheduled to this Saturday and got to see the first act again and the end of it. It was really good- I would definitely recommend it!
3. Bad Luck Comes in Fours?
This was while ago, around August 10th, but I'm going to share it anyway. It was the night of our first basketball open gym, and my whole team was pumped. We were shooting layups, when... my coach ripped his pants. It was so funny. Then, during the second week of school, a boy in my class ripped his pants as well. Five or so days after that, my dad ripped his khakis at his school. Finally, my friend, who happens to be my coach's (the one who ripped his pants) sister, ripped the knee of her jeans during P.E. So, yeah, I hope I'm not next!
4. Other Random Things That You Probably Don't Care About
(By Fall Out Boy) (That was a reference you probably won't get) (it's because all of their song titles are like a three page essay)
My basketball team had our first game on Thursday! Yay! But we lost. Boo.
SHERLOCK SEASON 4 IS COMING IN 2017! I REPEAT, SHERLOCK SEASON 4 IS COMING IN 2017!
One of our class fish died over the summer. :( I can't remember which one, we had two named Bubba and Gump. I think it was Gump.
Let's end on that 'happy' note. Oh wait! I forgot something.
5. Bad Bug Puns
These will make you cringe. Prepare yourself.
Q.Where do most bugs live?
A. In Antlantic City.
Q.How do fleas travel?
A. They itch-hike.
Q.What do bugs study in school?
A. Mothematics.
Q.What do you do with a sick bug?
A. Take it to the waspital.
Q.What do bugs use to smell good?
A. Deodor-ant.
Q.What do you call a bug on a ship?
A. A snailer.
Q. How do bugs get to school?
A. On a school buzz.
Okay, I'm done, I swear! I'm so sorry.
Thanks for reading! I'd love to hear anything you have to say.
At this time of year, crickets are looking for a warm place to spend the winter. You must have a cozy, inviting house! In a month or so, they should all be settled. We hope you understand.
Love,
Cricket

Good idea Bluebird!
1. Pirates of the Caribbean
I am currently obsessed with this movie/series, even if it is a bit gross/gory. Will Turner and Jack Sparrow are my favourites! I'm really excited for the new one, which is coming out in 2017 in May. All of them are hilarious and utterly ridiculous and I love them :D
2. Drama club
My school's drama club is doing "The Importance of Being Earnest" for their play, which is very confusing but awesome. In the play, the main character, Jack, has created a fake younger brother named Earnest that he pretends to be so that he can get away with doing whatever he wants without being held responsible. He decides to "kill" his "brother" before he marries this woman named Gwendolyn, but she (thinking his name is Earnest) reaveals that she would only ever marry someone named Earnest. Later on, Jack's friend Algernon (A.K.A. Algy) the other main character (who likes cucumber sandwiches) is pretending to be Earnest at Jack's house/mansion and proposes to Jack's ward, Cecily. Just then, Jack appears in mourning, saying that his "brother" Earnest had just "died" in Paris, when Algy comes in pretending to be Earnest. Anyways, then Gwendolyn and Cecily become very confused because they both beleive that they are engaged to Jack's younger brother Earnest and is is AMAZING! And I reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyREALLY want to play Algy and so does my younger brother and we find out our parts tomorrow and I'm super stressed.
Ok gotta do homework now bye!

I have yet to see Pirates of the Caribbean, but everyone I've talked to says they really like the series. Your drama club's play sounds very interesting! There is actually a girl in my class named Cecily. I hope you get the part you want!

Goodnight my someone, goodnight my love...
Opening Night for The Music Man is THIS Friday! I know none of you live in SC (although I have suspicious that BHR might), but if you buy imaginary tickets with imaginary knuts that would make me berry happy :):):):)
(September 19, 2016 - 11:28 am)
I'll buy an imaginary ticket! You're in it, right? What part? I haven't seen The Music Man, but it sounds really good! Good luck!
(September 19, 2016 - 3:08 pm)
Thank you! That will be four imaginary knuts. I play a townsperson, so I sing in Iowa Stubborn, and Wells Fargo Wagon act in Trouble and Seventy-six Trombones, and dance in Shipoopi. I have these cool character shoes that I woble around in!

(September 19, 2016 - 8:52 pm)
Yay, soccer! I don't play, but a lot of people I know do. What position are you? Also, is your writing project for school or for yourself? It sounds interesting.
My captcha says time. Gee, thanks for reminding me of how much of it I waste.
