I am very in to math. So, post some problems here and I will try to solve them.

Here is a problem

20.75•5•(57 - 37.65)=X

Oooh! I love math! It's my favourite subject!

20.75•5•(57 - 37.65)=X

Hmm. 57-37.65 is 19.35, which leaves the problem to be 20.75*5*19.35, which is... 2007.5625.

Right?

Here's another problem:

8x+ 5*32 =  1952

What is x?

Aaaargh I think I messed up my problem. I'm good at solving problems, not creating them. Oops.

With the answer that I was thinking of, the problem should be:

8x+(5*32)=216

8x + (5*32) = 216

8x + 160 = 216

-160     -160

________________

8x = 56

divided by 8 on both sides

x=7

This isn't very hard, sorry! But here:

 

25y  x  (-5 + 10) = 1625

 

the "x" is to multiply and the "y" is the variable. Solve for y.

25y*(-5+10)=1625

25y*5=1625

Then divide both sides by 5...

25y=325

And divide both sides by 25... 

So y=13, correct?

Ugh...

Am I the only person here who sucks at math?
I mean, I'm in 7th grade...but still in 5th grade math. :P

Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm not trying to bring your thread down AT ALL--I just want to ask if anyone else has a math deficiency, and this seemed to be the thread to do it.

I get good at math one year, then forget all I've learned. I can remember facts from every subject BUT math. Help!
