Here are some I believe it is important to follow:
You must be the change you want to see in the world.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect.
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right.
There are a lot that I believe are important, but those are three that do matter. The first, it's pretty clear. Be the kind of person and do the kind of things you want to see in the world. People will follow that example.
The second, if you find you are acting as if the majority of society does, stop, and think why. Usually, you'll find you are taking the easy path that will lead to nothing.
Third, you are what you say. If you say you can be anything you wish, you'll be anything you wish. If you say you'll get into a top college, you'll get into a top college. If you say you can't, then you won't.

Also, erm, all of Hamilton. Except maybe the songs where people die, and Say No To This. Actually, nevermind. Just Act one of Hamilton. You don't want to do what Hamilton did in Act 2.

I don't really have "words to live by" but there are several quotes and mottoes that I have heard or read that I feel are really excellent and true. Here are a couple of them.
