So, as I've mentioned, I was looking back on old threads lately.
And I thought that this one idea was really good.
I'll just copy paste:
Cricketer Awards!
I had a bit of a lightbulb the other day and thought that maybe I'd create something that I don't believe anyone has done yet (at least, not since I first came to the Chatterbox two years ago).
And this idea is to show our appreciation to our fellow Cricketers (or Chatterboxers, but the former sounds better) by presenting them with a token of it. There will be three to start with, but more can be added on—
The Everybuggy Award for All-Around Likeability (cheerfulness, supportiveness, etc.)
The Inkwell Cup for Literary Ability and Creativity (RPs, Hypquests and the like)
The Bookworm Prize for Exceptional Bookworms (diversity in material read and insightful critisicm)
We will vote to award these prizes once a week; no same person can win the same award twice, but, of course, they can win different awards at separate times. Whoever has the most votes at the end of the week (Sunday) will win the prize for that week. I will not nominate anyone yet, as this idea may be disliked, but if it is well received, I'll post my nominees later!

Inkwell Award- Brookeira! That True Names story is AMAZING!
Creativity Award- Jack-a-Nat is a really creative person. ;)

Not voting for Inkwell or Bookworm because I never visit BaB or Inkwell so I don't really have an opinion on those. This is a pretty good idea. Hope it doesn't lead to any hurt feelings *wink*

For the name award, I'm stuck between Icy and Mei-Xue... Icy has all the "cold" names and Mei has all the Chinese/fantasy charrie names... Help.
Since all of Mei's fit into two categories and Icy's fit into only one, it's like I have to vote for Mei, but at least I can pronounce Icy's AE names.
Help even more.

Technically it's your decision to make, since this is a vote. It would be unfair if someone said, "Choose [insert name here]". At least, I imagine it would be kind of rude.

HAB, I don't think it can lead to hurt feelings as long as we all remember a new person wins each week. So in that case, here is who I nominate:
Everybuggy as Daisy
Inkwell for both St.Owl and Gared (I can choose two, right?)
Skipping Bookworm for now
Names Clouded for her AE names are creative, and two of the three represent something else by name.
Writing Skill I will skip for now as well
Creativity Award as Scylla

Great idea! Or, revival of and idea, rather. I don't think I can vote, however as I'll probably accidentally mix something up or forget something. Also, don't really do Inkwell so I wouldn't know a whole lot about people's writing skills. But good luck to everyone!
