Um, I'm new

Um, I'm new and I was wondering if you could tell me how this place works. I've read some posts and I kinda know TNO, BellaTrix, Koffee, and Lena, but I just saw a few posts. And could someone tell me what it is with bananas and pies? Thanks.

PS: Koffee is really funny Smile

Welcome! I love your name! I'm pretty new here, too, but I can tell you that it's addicting! Your favorite book is "East!" I love that book! I love the whole fairy tale of "East of the Sun and West of the Moon." It's such a neat idea....

Have you ever heard of Diana Wynne Jones? When Jenni comes on you'll probably get the same question, so be prepared....How about Hilari Bell? Or Tamora Pierce? Or Kai Meyer? Or Lois Lowry? Or Richard Peck? Or Christopher Paul Curtis? Or Patricia C. Wrede? Or Caroline Stevner? Or Gail Carson Levine? Or--woah! OK....I'm bound to have struck gold somewhere or other....;););););)

A-A-Aliza? I like Tamora Pierce and Gail Carson Levine, too! Do you like Brian Jaques, Tad Williams, Robert Jordan, or Kathryn Lasky? Apart from DWJ, they're my favourite authors. Well, actually, they and DWJ are my "Top Five Authors of the entire world" list, so I'm prejudiced about them. Robert Jordan is the author of the Wheel of Time books. I just finished reading the tenth book, which has 700 pages, more or less. And Tad Williams' Tailchaser, which is the first and book he wrote. The edition I have has an introduction by Tad Williams, and he's talking about how the first publisher he went to didn't accept him, and when another publisher accepted him, he made a copy of his contract and wrapped around a brick and THREW IT THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THEIR HEADQUARTERS!!! lol! Anyway. My favourite of his books, tho, would have to be the "Shadow, Misery, and Thorn" series. It's about this teenage boy named Simeon, who basically becomes a knight, finds three magical swords, is befriended by the Sitha prince Jiriki and a troll named Bisqubikanik or something like that (don't worry, everybody calls him Binabik instead, tho), and kills the reincarnated evil leader of the Norns before he covers the world in darkness. Then, at the end, he becomes the new king of Erkynland. It's a trilogy, but the third book is in two parts. Its SO GOOD!! (V)(*o*)(V) Tad Williams ROX!

Oy! Jenni, if we keep coming up with similarities, I'm going to have to catch a plane ticket to TN! Meet me at the airport, OK? ;D;D Anyway, I LOVE Brian Jaques! I've only read the Redwall books up to "Mariel of Redwall," though. Have you read his three (four?) books with human characters? I think the series is called "Castaways of the Flying Dutchman," which makes me think of "Pirates of the Caribbean." Have you seen those movies? I don't think I've heard of the other authors you mentioned, though the name Tad Williams rings a bell...is he by any chance related to Robin Williams? Have you ever seen or heard of the movies "Shanghai Noon" or "Shanghai Knights?" They have Jacky Chan and Owen Wilson....
