Yes, maybe debate threads aren't a good idea. But it's not Mei's fault...if she knew the arguing would happen, would she have made it? No. Because she is a smart, rational, and amazing person. Don't blame Mei for making the thread. Other people decided to get involved.
Now...can't we just all be friends again?

Mei's not leaving. She wanted to start another debate thread, with a worked out plan, and the others disagreed with the idea. So we kinda went back and forth about some... things. Some people said some things, I she was about to leave, but didn't.
