Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

I have very

I have very slight synesthesia, which for me means that many words and names I hear have colors for me. I guess you could call this another cber colors thread! I posted a few people's name-colors on the survey in CaC. (I think it was Scylla, Katydid, Cho, and OtR). Here are a few more of your names, the way I see them:

Rosebud- pale, delicate pink, with green at the back

Shadow Dragon- the stormy blue green of the sea on a windy day, tinged with smoke grey

St. Owl- the peaceful silver of moonlight gliding over the walls at night

Elmodaisy- sunshine yellow and strawberry-lemonade pink!

Lindsey- lavender purple with a touch of blue, like a hydrangea

Buggy- green flecked with yellow and some hardly noticeable orange, which I can only find if I look very hard

Vikki- bright pumpkin orange!

Micearenice- the blue-silvery of a lake in bright sunlight

Leafpool- rich green and deep blue

BumbleBuddy- Bright yellow with a single verticle stripe of black and neon orange!

September- Rich golden touched with orange and bright scarlet

That's all for now! I really hope you like them!

I know three people with synesthesia! I sometimes wonder if it drives them nuts when I randomly go "hey, what color is squirrel?" Or something like that. XD

What color is Shadowmoon?

Hey, this is cool! I have synesthesia, as well. Would you mind if I did some people, too?

Elmodaisy: 'E' is always yellow for me, so I have always imagined you as yellow and pink. Which is the same as what Cockleburr does! Cockleburr, what color is your 'E'?

Swummer: My 'S's are a strange mix of colors--but for you your name is a soft mix of blues, greys, maroon, and yellow, with a burst of summer orange towards the end.

Mei-Xue: Your name used to be Leaf of Love, so I imagined your name green, with drops of colors from the other letters. Your new name used to have a tinge of green to it, but as I've gotten used to it, it's become mainnly orange, with a tough of green, and whitish-grey and yellow at the end.

Cho Chang: Sometimes names are influenced by what I see them in or experiences I associate them with, (such as how the word 'leaf' is green, and summer is yellow), and I've always imagined Cho Chang's name from Harry Potter as an almost bright blue. That's how I used to imagine your name, but that was when I was new and didn't know the next thing about you. Now your name is a much softer blue, because you're Cho the CBer, definitely not Cho the book character.

Scylla: Your name is almost white, with silvery grey in it, and an almost microscopic hint of pink at the end.

Shadow Dragon: Dark grey at the front with striped blue at the end.

Cockleburr: Light tan, that layers into a darker brownish tan, slowly turning to dark brown, and lastly, becoming almost blue.

The main color of a word is largely based off of the first letter of the name. All the other colors don't disappear, however, but merely fade and get layered with the color of the first letter. If there are a lot of the first letter in a word, it almost becomes a solid. Sometimes, when playing SIs, I guess people because the way they type reminds me of the color of their name. (Well, I think so--it could just be that I think that's how it is; I'm not really sure yet.)

Joan: Dark, maroon brownish-red with a border of gold.

Ice: White with sky-blue shades

Shadowmoon: Black, with swirls of indigo and purple and blue.

Wow! I've always wondered what having synesthesia is like. Could you do me? I don't have a very cool name though. It's pretty regular. Have you read A mango shaped space by Wendy Mass? It's about a girl who has sound-color synesthesia.

Parker S: Green, blue, and yellow with almost a plastic-like quality. It's sort of shiny, and it's in not exactly polka dots, but not stripes either.

Oh, I have slight synethsesia too! Only for certain words and numbers, though, which is why it's slight. Like the number one is red and shiny, three is purple and fluffy, and 'pristine' is made emtirely from crystal.

Here's some I did, for fun--

Vikki- Dark, deep maroon with vilet-plum swimming in its core.

Scylla- Mint green with sharp streaks of white, swirling in a whirlpool.

Shadowmoon- Inky black splotches in a sapphire blue... cake (that sounds wierd, but I imagine a black-and-blue cake).

Hotairballoon- Soft and round sky blue, tinged with pale red.

Esthelle- The light brown of a newly purchased jacket (also, a blue price tag).

Brookeira- Willow green and sunshine yellow.

Cockleburr- Spring green and dark brown, like chestnuts sprinkled in fresh grass.

I don't think I have synesthesia, but I definitely associated colours with numbers, letters, and words.

Elmodaisy- uhhh... Probably yellow with some purple in it. E is yellow and D is purple... So yeah.

Scylla- Definitely red and orange. S is orange and C is yellowish orange and for some reason wit the rest of the letters it just becomes a reddish orange.

Micearenice- Probably red with some white and a tiny bit of green. M is red for me, and usually the word's main color is based off of the first letter.

Mei-Xue- again, there's red because of the M, but the X is like a cotton candy blue, so half of it is that.

Cho-Chang- Yellow mostly because of the Cs, but the Hs add a pinkish-purplish coloured outline.

I have to go for now, but I'll definitely do more later!

Ah thanks! That matches well...

Ha, if I had a friend with synthesia, I'd probably annoy them to death by contsantly asking questions about it XD
