Hi, Marie! Welcome to the Chatterbox. I lovelovelove cats, reading, writing, and drawing, too!

There's tons of stuff on the chatterbox. RPs, debates, stories that CBers are writing, (Scylla has one on Blab about Books, and I just started one on Inkwell.)

Here's a basic guide to what what the different parts of the Chatterbox are, and like Bluebird said, you could also check out the Ultimate Guide thread.

This Month: It's kind of for talking about the most recent issue of Cricket mag, and I know you said that you get Cricket.

Chirp at Cricket: This is for talking about whatever is on your mind, posting pictures, or anything else miscellaneous.

Blab about Books: For talking about books you've read, posting parts of books you're writing, having rants about books you hate, (without making anyone feel bad) and basically anything related to books.

Down to Earth: For having debates, talking about life, etc.

Pudding's Place: I don't really go on there, so sorry, but I can't really tell you about it.

Inkwell: Ahhhh. Inkwell, probably my favorite place on the CB. This is for having RPs, (role plays), having writing contests, posting parts of books you're writing, (again), having writing clubs, mostly all is about writing. 

And Kyngdom, which is an ongoing roleplay with humans/animals, and B.I.G.  Check it out!

These descriptions might not be entirely correct, and you don't have to post only what I said on the places. Also, CBers sometimes like to have AEs (alternate egos) that sometimes are slightly crazy. Please do not ask me about the Great Pie War. At least, I think that's what it was called. And captchas, too. You can give your captcha a name. If you don't know what a captcha is, it's the code at the bottom of your post that you have to type in to let them know you aren't a machine trying to send mass messages. I know, lots of m's, right? Anyway, welcome!

CB: chatterbox

CBer: chatterboxer

Admins: Administrators. They make sure no one posts anything inappropriate and keep us safe. They're pretty awesome.

Charrie: Character.

Charrie sheet: something you fill out to join an RP

RP: roleplay. Some merging in which you make a character and then write from their point of veiw.

OP: overpowered or overpowering. If a Charrie in a rolplay has lots of power, can read minds, can fly, can kill someone by looking at them, and is king of the world, their OP. So Basicly if your Charrie is OP, people don't like it because you are more, way more, powerful and important than everyone else.

CAPTCHA: CAPTCHA is the little code at the bottom of the page that you have to type in. It makes sure you are a person and not a spam submission. Some people make their CAPTCHA like a little pet and name it, then post whatever is in their CAPTCHA code, and pretend that their CAPTCHA said it. For example, my CAPTCHA, Nugget, says xugh. Ugh? Maybe he doesn't like me using him as an example.

Btw: I never knew what it meant until today. People would post things like, 'Btw, I'll be gone tomorrow.' It always confused me, but I figured out that it meant 'hey, just so you know,' or 'for your information' or 'by the way'. But just a few seconds ago, when I thought about 'by the way' I relized By The Way. BTW. XD

XD: I used to think that XD was an abbreviation. xd. But it's used as a laughing emoji. The X is the creased laughing eyes, and the D is the open mouth. It's a sideways laughing face. XD.

Emojis: here are some more. O.O the Os are the eyes, and the period is the nose. This one is usually used when people are suprised. ;-) this one is a winking face. :-) a smiley face :-( a sad face :,( a crying face :-D another smiley :-d an open mouth. D-: another sad. :-/ an 'oh well' kind of face. That's all I can think of. Maybe someone else can show you more.
