So, I'm sure by now most of us know how SI's work. This is a sort of Reverse SI. We use our normal names on the CB when we post, but we choose a character - for this SI, we'll use book characters - and every time we post, we give clues so that other people can determine our character.
So it's sort of like Guess Who, except you can only make guesses and you don't get penalized for guessing wrong.
I will choose my book character now. Here's a clue:
"I live in Hyde Park, Chicago."
One last thing, don't try to look anything up. That's cheating! If you looked up "Hyde Park, Chicago" and looked at the Wikipedia article, I'm sure there would be a list of books set in that town. But don't do that, because it's illegal. The SI police will get you! (Just kidding.)
Okay, we'll see if this works or if it falls apart quickly.

Ah! Been forever since I posted a hint, here's my next one:
I have a small companion, a martin, who will be the death of me, at least my first death.
Er, my nest hint will probably help a lot if you've read the books my character is from. Heh, but you don't get it yet!
I have no idea who anyone else is, I'm pretty sure all the books you guys are from are newer youth fiction that I haven't read! I'm reading young adult and adult fiction now, so I don't really know many of the newer books that aren't in those ones!

Another clue: I end up having a series of adventures with said fairly famous guy I just met, involving (among other things) telekinesis, far too much math, extremely heavy headgear, and noodles.
