Danie the Lemming
Danie the Lemming sat on the edge of the cliff. She considered for a moment, then took a step and ran off. The line of lemmings behind her watched and, completely devastated, followed her. They had to, right? She was gone, so there was no point in staying.
The younger lemmings, the smaller ones, followed the lemmings and stared over the edge of the cliff. Why did they leave?
They left because one did. Because the older, more experienced ones left. Because suddenly their friends left. They left because without one, their home became boring.
But the truth is, nobody is the same. If people leave and take their excitement with them, it isn't an invitation to follow them and leave! So don't leave because everyone else is. Stay. Don't leave because the old people's excitement is gone. If you leave, your excitement is gone.
I therefore call the Holdiay time of 2015, the time of Lemmings.

A sad writer: This isn't a matter of being lemmings. I'm just losing my steam.
