Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket
I know I've
I know I've been posting a lot, but I am kinda new on CB, so I was wondering if someone would be willing to "introduce" me to the frequent chatterboxers so I know what the people I am talking to are like. I would appreciate it if someone gave me a "tour" of CB. Thanks!

Hello, Owlfire! Welcome to the Chatterbox! My name's Nina and I'm one of the many Chatterboxers here. Everyone here has a different personality, but many of us like to read and some of us share the same qualities and interests. I'm sure the others will introduce themselves to you soon! Two of my favorite things are art and reading!
As for the "tour", I can tell you the different areas of the Chatterbox. The Chirp at Cricket section is where we can talk about any random thing. Usually SIs (guessing games) are held there. Blab about Books is a place where we can chat about our favorite books, authors and genres! In Down to Earth, we talk about life, Earth, school, etc. Pudding's Place is all about music, art, theater, and plays. In the Inkwell we share our stories, quotes, and poems.
I hope this helps! I think you will have a great time at the Chatterbox. Have fun, and see you around!

I'm S.E. I am pretty new (November 29, 2013) and I caught on real quick. So don't worry.

Hi Owlfire! Welcome to the CB! I'm Ivy. I'm a Merlinian, a Whovian, a Potterhead and Oncers, which means that I LOVE Merlin, Doctor Who, Harry Potter and Once Upon a Time. I love reading, writing, singing, dancing and Rubik's cubing. I dance ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary. Some of my other favorite books and authors besides Harry Potter are: Rick Riordan, Shannon Hale, Jessica Day George, Michael Scott, Diane Stanley, Seraphina, Dragonswood, Anne of Green Gables, The House Above the Trees, and soooooo many more. I have two cats named Mouse and Annabeth, although we usually call her Baby or Lulu, Baby because she's so small, and I'm not really sure where Lulu came from.
Anyway, welcome again! See you around!

Hello Owlfire! Welcome to the Chatterbox! It's always awesome to have new faces around here!
I'm Everinne, usually creator of posts that immediately get killed; EPIC Lord of the Rings fan; reviewer of movies; avid reader; hopeful writer; insane fangirl. That's the shortened version, I don't want to bog you down with the details! :)
Here's a brief run through of the people I can think of--
Blonde Heroines Rule: Fan of the Percy Jackson series, devout Christian, always supportive of everyone. The CB cheerleader.
Maggie: She says she suffers from depression, but she's one of the funniest people in the CB--at least, her sarcasm often makes me laugh.
Joe the Stickfiddler: One of the few guys. He has a blog and posts a lot on Down to Earth.
Melody and ~Blue Fairy~ are sisters and talk a lot about plays and music, from what I can remember.
Red and Ruby are the same person and genderless.
Theo and Lexi are also the same person and genderless.
Blackberry E. and Nightingale are sisters and fans of Lord of the Rings as well.
Nora the Singer is starting a story about all of us on the Inkwell.
Stellarbee, CaptainRead and Madeline are new around here, and haven't really made many threads yet, but post often on others.
Hope that helps a little! Hope you enjoy the CB!

Thanks! That really makes it clear who is who. Don't worry about being a fangirl, I'm a huge fangirl too.

Hi, Owlfire!
I'm Katie, a great lover of cats, Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, anything by Rick Riordan, the Warriors series, and a bunch of other series I can't remember, even though I have a bookshelf full of them. I like to coddle cats, read, write, act, and hang out with my friends. I wish I had another cat, could live with my best friend, and play Capture the Flag nonstop. I am homeschooled, and I love it. I wish I had a cat (did I say that already?) and I am relatively new to the CB too, and let me tell you, it is AWESOME!
Look forward to seeing you around!

I have the same thing with cats, but my sister and mom are both allergic to cats so I have to go to carry shelters to satisfy my cat love.

Oooh, thank you Everinne! I rather like that description of me!
(April 13, 2014 - 8:13 pm)
I'm flattered.
Hi, Owlfire. Let me introduce myself.
I'm Maggie. I'm 12 (turning 13 on the 26th) and I'm in 7th grade. I like a lot of books and a lot of bands and a lot of TV shows (and animes). I play cello. I've been taking lessons for about 2 or 3 years. I write things sometimes. I don't think they're very good, but other people don't usually agree with that statement. I can be incredibly sarcastic (as Everinne said), and it gets me in trouble sometimes. I can be funny sometimes. I try to be helpful however I can. I take Latin.
I think that's everything.

Welcome! I hope you have fun around here! I'm The Chocabookaholic, the chocolate-loving book-loving new CBer. Around CB I'm: a valiant soldier on Evan S.'s side when conquering the world in Down to Earth, a player in some games at Chirp at Cricket, a movie critic in Pudding's Place, an extremely hopeless crusher on every boy character nearish to my age in Blab about Books, and either brave Captain Joesphine Ingham or shy Meg Baker in Inkwell. I love the authors Kate DiCamillo, Frances Hodgeson Burnett, Corneila Funke, and Gene Stratton-Porter.
There are lots of neat discussions in Down to Earth as well, and Pudding's Place is a great place for actors and dancers. I love looking at book reviews in Blab about Books! There are also neat topics to chat about in This Month, though I'm not around there much. Hope this helps! (I'm not really able to tell you much about chatterboxers, since I haven't been around here very long, but from experience I can tell you they are all so kind to newbies!)

Hey, I'm Daffodil. I don't post on here a lot, but here I am! Reading this thread, I noticed that it's more boring when people introduce themselves, and easier and less "here is my whole life laid before you" when people introduce other people.
Here is my whole life laid before you! (yah but not really)
I dance and I play the classical guitar. I wish I could sing. But I'm always off key. Too bad.
Someone initiated a "chatterbox dictionary " thing, but no one posted anything... too bad, it would be useful for newcomers.
Squishy (spammy, captcha, sir spamalot, rodney-- the little thing @ bottom of page that says "what code is in the image") says tout.
(April 12, 2014 - 5:26 pm)
Ohhh! I've been seeing squishy in posts and going what the heck is that? Thank you! I find that it is more entertaining to see people's descriptions of other people. Squishy says nfyi.
(April 13, 2014 - 10:44 am)
You're welcome.
You can make up your own name for it, too. JDD calls him Rodney, some call him Spammy or just Captcha. If Squishy says something that looks like a word, statement, or a word or statement that is related to the post, people sometimes say, "squishy/rodney/spammy/captcha says this." For example, one time squishy said ipet. another time it said cawp. eiek. hboy. hdig. inib. zepp. zigg. anyway, just funny stuff.
