The Admins, JDD and I were discussing the possiblity of trying a 'instant chat'* on a Wednesday over the summer for an hour, but we need your help! We need to know what time is best to start. So, could each of you give a start time (in CDT) from the list. Here is a conversion chart...
1 p.m. CDT = 2 p.m. EDT = 11 a.m. PDT
2 p.m. CDT = 3 p.m. EDT = 12 p.m. PDT
3 p.m. CDT = 4 p.m. EDT = 1 p.m. PDT
4 p.m. CDT = 5 p.m. EDT = 2 p.m. PDT
Am I missing any time zone? I think the times are all correct to, but tell me if I'm wrong.
*An 'instant chat' is a time where the Admins are on and we respond the each other almost instantly.
You skipped Mountain Time! Colorado, Utah, etc. Geography lesson: There are 4 zones in the continental US.

Sounds cool! What date would it be?
July 10, 17, or 24? We may have to check the production schedules when the time gets closer. Figure out which of those is better for the most participants.

Hmm, I might be able to make it on Wednesdays. If I can convince my mom to let me on the computer after I get home from my class at the local community college. Yes, I'm taking a class at a community college at age 14. Impressive, huh? But I'm not here to brag.
Maybe we should have an Instant Chat every month or week?
We could try for another day if that would be better. Maybe Monday?

All of those days work for me now, but I would prefer July 10 so we could have it as quick as possible! Also, I think we should have it around 4 p.m EDT so it's not during anyone's meal time.

I can't do Tuesdays and most Wednesdays. 4 PM Eastern sounds good for me.

I think 4 EDT would be great, especially, as Melody mentioned, no one's meals conflict.

I prefer not Wednesday, as I have to watch my sister while Butterfly is at gymnastics. Saturday would be great.
Saturday is not good for Admins. We need it to be a weekday.

I'm not sure now which of the dates will be OK, but I will definitely not be free from about 2:30 to about 4:45 PM CDT on any Wednesday.

Oh, okay. Monday the 15th and the 22nd is busy, Tuesday is fine, Wednesday is very busy, Thursday might work, and Friday is great. I think that's the same with Butterfly.

Regarding availabilty for Instant Chat:
Monday = Maybe.
Tuesday = Probably not.
Wednesday = A pretty great chance.
Thursday = I might be able to.
Friday = Most likely the best chance.
And did anyone think of my suggestion of having it regularly, like once a week or once a month? I think that would be great, cause if someone misses one, they can always catch the next one! Or was it my imagination that I suggested that?

Why will the Admin say nothing regarding the idea of having an Instant Chat every week or month? Is the Admin's (and everyone else's) lack of talking about the idea supposed to mean "no" or "maybe" or what??????? What say the semi-marvelous and semi-annoying Admins?
I think we'll try it once first, then see how it goes. When we did it before, there were not many participants. Because of our small staff and workload, it's hard to obligate ourselves to a specific scheduled setup in advance. Are you able to look at the replies so far and figure out the best day and time? I'm the only Admin around till next Monday, so don't expect any more specifics before then.
