Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Hey guys! Since the Hunger Games Movie just came out, I have been thinking. A lot of the tributes in the 74th Hunger Games are very mysterious. So, I decided to write about how I imaged them. Or one, actually. Please think of another unknown tribute and join in!

Name: Rebecca (Foxface) Sultan

District: 5

Hair color: Red

Personality: Sly and quick. Very good at stealing. Is one of the last tributes to die in the end.

Becca-

The sun is blazing down on my back, hot and searing. Panting slightly, I hurry as fast as I can home, trying not to let the heat get to me. It had been a long day, and all I wanted was to go home and go to sleep. But I know I can't. The reaping is today.

"Becca!" I turn around to see my best friend, Janie, rush towards me, already in her pretty reaping dress. Her father is one of the top people at the electronic factory, which means her clothes are always nicer than mine. "You on your way to the reaping?" I shake my head. "Have to go home and change. I'll meet you over there." She nods, and then grins. "Oh, and may the odds be ever in your favor." She imitates the reapers over-excited voice. I giggle and wave to her as she rushes towards the Justice building.

As I get home, I almost run straight into my dad, who just got home from the factory. "Hey kiddo," he says, ruffling my red hair. "You ready to go?"

"Almost," I say, rushing to my room to slip on my dress. It is a deep green, a hand-me-down from my older sister. "Did you steal my earrings?" My sister Amy shouts from her side of our room. "Nope." I say, rolling my eyes. "Why? Are you meeting Jake afterwards or something?" She blushes at the mention of her recent boyfriend. She's so beautiful, she's had about eight in the past six months. "Yes. Now let's go."

Twenty minutes later, I am standing outside the Justice building, Janie whispering beside me. "I wonder who It's gonna be this year," she whispers. Suddenly, she spins around. "Alec! You're supposed to be at the guys side!" I grin at Janie's twin brother. Alec has golden hair and green eyes. We've been friends for as long as I can remember. Janie's told me that he has a crush on me, and to be honest, I sort of like him too. "Just wishing you girls good luck," Alec says and gives me a dazzling smile. "Do you want to meet up later, Becca?" I blush and nod. "Sure." He gives my hand a squeeze and in a minute is gone.

"Welcome," the reaper calls up from the stage. "I won't bother with talk, so here we go. Ladies first." I can feel Janie stiffen nervously beside me, holding her breath. It seems everyone is. "Here we are," the reaper says, taking a name out of the bowl. "And our District 5 female tribute is..." He slowly unfolds the paper, 

"Rebecca Sultan."
