So, since the...

So, since the movie comes out in... *check watch* 12 hours and 43 minutes, here we go. To all of you who worship at the altar of Katniss Everdeen, look no further! This blog is devoted to the heroin of the Hunger Games! I wrote a very bad and cheesy ode to Katniss. Please feel free to do the same, (better than mine) or just write whatever you feel like!

The girl with the famous dark-brown braid

The girl with the seam-grey eyes

You are the reason we are here today

you are the reason we survived.

With your bow and arrow and your fiery cape

You brought the world to see

The way things are, the way things were

And how they're meant to be.

Oh Katniss how did you ever know

What to do, to know, to find

That way to scortch the capitol in your fiery gaze

To leave the old world behind.

Oh girl on fire, we solute you now

For everything you've done

So sit back now, and wait in silence

The Hunger Games have begun

I know nothing about Hunger Games but your poem was really cool.

By the way, today in Social Studies class my teacher gave us a study period and when it was loud he said, looking at the books on everyone's desks.

"Come on, guys, read. Read The Hunger Games. Read the Hunger Games. Read Mockinjay. Read Catching Fire. Read THe Hunger Games. Read Harry Potter. Read the Hunger Games."

It was really funny. Sorry I didn't italicize, but I'm too lazy.

My friend and I wrote a really bad limerick on The Hunger Games, here goes...

There once was a girl from the Seam,

She and Peeta Mellark were a team,

They went into the Game,

And were granted with fame,

They were victorious over their fiends.

I obsess over The Hunger Games. I have a Mockingjay bracelet, backpack chain, pencil pouch, locker decorations, five posters, necklace, shirt, wallpapers, and I doodle Mockingjays on all my classwork. It's all I think about, and I've even had a few dreams about it too... But I love Josh Hutcherson <3

Haha, thanks! And recently I heard a few song spoofs about them, here's one about Peeta:

"As I walk out the shop, this is what I see,

Katniss Everdeen staring at me.

I got a burnt loaf of bread

and I ain't afraid to throw it, throw it, throw it-

I'M PEETA AND I KNOW IT.

Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta YEAH

Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta YEAH

Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta  Peeta YEAH

MELLARK"

And,

"I set fiiiiiireee, to the bread!

Watched it burn as my mom slapped my face!"

Ohmygosh!!! That's hilarious!!!

I LOVE SONG SPOOFS AND SONGS IN GENERAL!!

And making up songs to the melodies of different songs

A cactus sat on a windowsill, when it was knocked over by a cat, the cactus fell from the windowsill, straight onto my P.E. teacher's head! (to the tune of Greensleeves, I was bored at the time)

I love that! I just found a good spoof by Brittany Spears!

Gale: Peeta I love Katniss Everdeen

So you better back down

Cause this is more than a fling

So just deal With it

Peeta: Gale she's the hottest girl in District 12

What makes you think she'd fall

for a mutation like yourself

She's all mine

Gale: You have such beautiful eyes!

Peeta: I'll bake you pies!

Were just two guys!

I-I-I want to Ta-a-ake

You awa-a-ay from the Hunger Games!

From tune I want to take you away

Ahhh!!!!!! I got the soundtrack the other day and IT IS SOOOO GOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only songs I dislike are "Take the Heartland" "The Ruler and the Killer" and "One Engine". BUT THE OTHERS ARE SO GOOD!!!! I'm listening to "Run, Daddy, Run" Which is like Katniss' dad dying, "Daddy can you hear, the devil drawing near. Like a bullet from a gun, run daddy fun. Mamma's been crying in the kitchen, sister's been afraid of the dark, I've been gathering the pieces, of all these scattered hearts." Another one that I really like is "Daughter's Lament", it's JUST LIKE Mr. Everdeen's death...here are the lyrics if you haven't heard them:

"Come in, come in my father dear
And spend this hour with me
For I have a meal, a very fine meal
And I fixed it up for thee, thee
I fixed it up for thee

No, I ain't comin' in, no I ain't comin' in
To spend this hour with thee
For I have to go down in the mines
I'll return this night to thee, thee
I'll return this night to thee

Then she got up her arrow and her bow
Her arrow and her string
And she went down to the forest deep
And sweetly she did sing, sing
And sweetly she did sing

Up spoke, up spoke a mockingjay
Up from a willow tree
You had a father in the mine
Who's gone this day from thee, thee
Who's gone this day from thee

Woe be woe be mockinglay
Woe be woe be to thee
I'll send an arrow through your hear
For to bring such news to me, me
For to bring such new to me

Up spoke, up spoke that mockingjay
Don't waste your time with me
Go home and mind that pretty little girl
Her father no more does see, see
Her father no more does see

She went home to her house that night
That house so cold and mean
And she held her sister close to her side
And never more did sing, sing
And never more did sing"
