For English class
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Elijah of Buxton
For English class...
For English class we're reading this and I'M HAVING A HARD TIME NOT FALLING ASLEEP. (The fact that I"m in the back, far away from the teacher's desk, and the lights are always turned off is not helping.) (The lights are turned off because we use a document camera which is like a high-teck projector.) I don't even know what the plot is at this point which isn't good because there's supposed to be a test at the end.
Has anyone read this? We're on Page 107 (after the "Familiarity Breeds Contempt lesson). Does it get any better?

I don't remember a lot about Elijah of Buxton, but I think I really liked it. I thought it was pretty good and adventurous but I read it a while ago so...

You liked it? *has hope* It's still REALLY BORING right now. And the way my teacher reads... she ennunciates every. Single. Syllable. And reads in a dead flat voice.
