So I got
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
So I got this book and my mom saw it and said: " Is that by Kathy Reichs?"
Me: Yes?
Mom: O can I see it for a second? She wrote the Temperance Brennan series" (Which are adult books)
Me: Ohh okkkk
mom: --looks at it-- "Oh it's a teen book" --- Gives it back---
Me -- Takes it to my room, and then I forgot about it.
Anyways I finally got around to reading it. And I LOVED it. It did start off really really really slow, but it eventually took off. The main Character is Temperance Brennan's sister (-Harry-) son daughter named Tory Brennan. AKA Tory Brennan's Grandma's sister was Temperance Brennan. Which I think is really neat: tying one series into another. The book is about Tory, who has gone to live with her dad (Kit), because her mom died. They live on a remote island near Charleston, South Carolina. One day Tory and her friends Ben, Hi, and Shelton are on loggerhead island. When Tory hears a barking kind of noise, she goes towards it. She is confronted by the wolf who lives on the island (illegally) with her family: Her mate is a German shepherd. Their offspring are wolfdogs. In the end Tory saves the newest puppies (cub?) and she and her friends leave. Eventually they find the puppie (named coop) and save it from being put down. Tory finds coop in a lab; someone had been running tests on coop. He had Parvovirus. Which was supposed to be only harmful to dogs, but as Tory and her friends found out, this wasn't ordinary Parvovirus. It could infect humans. Tory and her friends are changed; can they use theit new "powers" to solve an unsolved case?
This book could be for anyone interested in, Sci-Fic, Forensic Anthropologist, Murders, mystery, and for anyone who loves reading. Ages 12, 13+. It has a sequel called: Seizure. READ IT!
