The first book...

The first book was amazing. I loved Cimorene. And I loved Alianora. 

The second book was a little too romantic, and Mendanbar was a little too boring, but it was still awesome. 

THe third book was kind of... cheesy. And too boring. But I still liked it (GOOOO SCORN!!!)

The fourth book was awful. It had none of the previous book's hilariousness. It was so boring.  None of the old characters were there. Well, barely. And seriously, Morwen/Telemain? 

You can do better than that, Pat. You should have stopped on the second book.

Good things: 

1. You actually read the EFC.

2. You agree that the fourth book was absolute junk, absolute rubbish, absolute GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! *turns into a demented demonic dragon and burns down my copy of Talking to Dragons* 

Bad things:

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY???????? Everyone SAYS Mendanbar is boring but NOBODY DOES ANYTHING TO PROVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still, I get your point. A lot of books seem to go downhill.

That's because Mendanbar is boring. He's so... ugh.

I liked the fourth book, actually. I know, I know! *cowers away from piercing glares* But... I liked it. Just not Daystar. *shudders* And I thought Morwen/Telemain was satisfying enough... but Morwen is waaaaaaaay too cool for Telemain.

I'm fine with you people not liking him! The thing that's the problem is that people never say why he's boring.

I know I read the first book a long time ago and really liked it. I don't remember any of the others, though... actually, I don't even remember the first one that well, but I know it was good. And it had dragons. Yay.

 

P.S. Spamdragon (You don't mind me stealing that, do you Tiffany?) says "wyyz". You skipped X! How could you?

Ok. I could go on and on about nothing, but my selected topic is the cover illustrations. I'm not sure where they are from but they're the ones that show Cimorene talking to Kazul, Cimorene and Mendanbar fighting rock snakes, Cimorene riding Killer, and Daystar and Shiara talking to an elf. 

The one for Dealing with dragons is probably the best, but Cimorene looks too... chatty. Too princessy.

The one for Searching for dragons.... UGH UGH UGH!!! Ok, Cimorene:

1. You have a face like a sabertoothed tiger

2. You're wearing a crown, and you let your hair down

3. What's with the tiny little dress????????

Mendanbar:

1. Your hair is supposed to be BLACK, BLACK, BLACK. NOT a dusty brown color that noone knows the name of. And I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be this long either, 

2. Geesh, take that expression OFF of your face. Yeek! I'm pretty sure Mendanbar knows what he's doing!!!

3. GET RID OF THE MUSCLES!!! I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT GET RID OF THEM!!!!!!

The one for Calling. Well, DOESN'T IT CLEARLY SAY THAT MORWEN DOES NOT WEAR POINTY HATS???????? And Cimorene, you look like a sabertoothed tiger. Again. 

And Talking, what's with the elf? And you made Daystar look like even more of an idiot than he is. Some smug guy who always knows what  he's doing. And Shiara, same here. And isn't Shiara supposed to wear a brown tunic?

I only read the first book, but I liked it.  Sheesh, my public library doesn't carry any worthy books by Chatterbox standards. 

It kinda reminded me of the Frog Princess series by E.D. Baker (which I <3)

Why does everyone on here not like these books? I loved them! And Mendanbar is one of my fav characters in the whole world of books!! He's not boring!!

And I loved the fourth book so much!! Although that Daystar didn't propose kinda bothered me. . . and there wasn't a kiss! In my mind, there was totally a kiss. Just saying.

Lammy says ahpf. Are you trying to speak another lanague? (or however you spell it? I can't spell right now.)
