Has anyone read...
Has anyone read the Maximum Ride series? So far it has seven books. I don't know a lot of people who've read it so.. ya know...:P They're amazing books and I think every one should read them.

Max is probably the best kick-butt heroine ever.
But I don't like it the way she becomes way to emotional and like "Dylan or Fang? Dylan or Fang?" Ugh.

I agree with you. The first few books were really good, but when JPatt started going into That Romancey Mush (which is, of course, inevitable) it got really annoying.

I have only read the first one so far, but I love it and really want to read the rest. And SC, you should look at the "Things I Learned from Books" thread in DtE, page 1, #'s 19, 20 & 21 posted by ZNZ, ;) as quoted here:

I love the series... but then my parents read the back of Angel (the most recent one, not the first one) and I'm no longer allowed to read it.
And I hate the romance'y stuff. The series was amazing (sarcastically funny, action-filled) until MAX and then...

I've only read the first book, BUT I LOVED IT!!!!!
Fang is awesome.
Nudge is awesome.
Max is kind of awesome.
But not as awesome as Fang.
Or as Nudge.
I don't get why EVERY SINGLE BOOK has to have romance in it.
You are In Love and it is For Real.
You will most likely choose the guy who is Less Hot and who you have Known Longer.
It will Never Be Easy
The other guy will Get Mad and might even become Your Enemy.

Whoa, whoa WHOA!!! MAX is the most awesome kick butt person ever. Fang was awesome until he started dating. But Max was still the awesomest.
My rundown on the flock:
Max: awesome awesome awesome awesome
Fang: awesomish. He's cool, but... yeah.
Iggy: SO funny. I quote, "And start a blood- filled coup!"
Nudge: Awesome
Gasman: Hilarious. And totally the cutest character in the manga.
Angel: Adorable. Once you get past the part where she wants to lead the flock instead of Max. *sighs* little kid egos.
My run down on the others:
Ari: For you people who haven't read Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports: James Patterson must have been depressed when he wrote the end. Ari was my second favorite character.
Dylan: Hot idiot. Hot, but an idiot. Even if he is "programmed" to, well, you know.
Max/Maya: My third favorite character. Oi, that would be bad to be her. But she deals with it, and is awesome.
Jeb: Hurry up and decide whether you want to help them or not. Seriously.
Dr. Martinez: Awesome mom. But the part about in her in Angel is confusing.
Ella: Awesome sister. Awesome maker of choclate chip cookies.
All the take-over-the-worlders: Guys, stop trying to take over the world. Seriously. It's getting annoying.
