Harry Potter
I love Pottermore;...

I love Pottermore; it is so awesome. I got in early and I finished the first book thing but I can't go on to the 2nd year. (annoyed)  Well talk to you later Cricket readers! :)

I love Pottermore, too! It's awesome! I'm afraid CoS won't be out until 2012, though.

What is Pottermore exactly? Does it give you extra facts about the characters? Do you have to make a username and stuff?

Yes and not exactly.

At the moment, only people who signed up for early access can use it because they're still fixing glitches. You'll be able to sign up sometime, though. You don't make a username, exactly--they give you 5 choices, and you pick one. For example, I'm GlowSnidget84. Then you get to see beautiful, JKR-approved artwork, read lots of new information about the characters, the places, the things, how she thought of them... You get to read about all the wand woods and what they mean after you take a wand quiz she personally rote to see what yours is, and there's new information about cores, lengths, and flexibility as well, which the quiz also determines, and you get to see the shops in Diagon Alley and what they sell, and then you go to Hogwarts and get sorted (JKR wrote that quiz, too!!), and you get to see such awesome art and read such fascinating info and feel like you're actually at Hogwarts, and you can brew potions and cast spells to earn House points, and it's fun, too!

That sounds awesome. I didn't find out about it until the sign-ups were over. Frown

You'll get to used it eventually. It must be really annoying, though; originally, they said it would be open to everyone in October!
