I just became...

I just became a manga fan!

 

It happened rather quickly. I got hooked on my cousin's Legend of Zelda books (though I only got to read the Four Swords part of the saga), and now I'm hungry for more!

 

Could any manga fans reccomend some good manga for a "beginner" like me????

I haven't read any mangas yet but I soon will. I do watch a few animes though. I know Death Note is based on a manga and my friend's read it (the manga). I'm pretty sure she likes it except for the ending (she said so pointedly). I don't know if it's for "beginners" or if it's even in English since said friend speaks/writes/reads Cantonese and might be reading a Cantonese translation... though it's probably English.

Anyways, Death Note is awesome, Mathilda agrees with me (she was the one who recommended it), but, um, what type of manga do you like to read? Death Note is a bit, um, creepy-ish. (not really, but it's about a guy who kills people for the "greater good" (DUMBLEDORE AND GRINDEWALD!) by writing their names into a notebook...)

I also like Gunslinger Girl which is also a manga that's apparently sad, though I don't know if that's in English because I heard that from a YouTube comment and they might speak/read/write Japanese...

Oh! I've read the manga adaption of Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz. They got the villain's name wrong and Sabrina wasn't even in the first book but otherwise, it was good.

I am very much obssessed with Death Note. ;)

I didn't like Death Note. The ending scared me a lot. "L" dies! Whaaa! I have a lot of manga that I read. I love Bleach, Naruto, Fruit Basket, and a lot of Japanese manga.

What about .Hack? It's fantasy-ish and quite enjoyable!

Oho! Manga! Or anime... you should look at some animes. Shakugan no Shana, Saki, To Aru no Railgun, the list goes on. :)

Mangas I like are Cat Paradise and Arata the Legend.
