I read the abridged version of this when I was like 8!!! I tried to read the actual version a few years ago and nearly died. O_o that thing is THICK! with big pages and small print.

Um, how can you do a roleplay on a book? Still, I want to join, and as I'm the first person here, can I be Anne? Obviously, I don't need to create a profile, do I? Can you explain more? Still, I've got dibs on Anne Shirley.

I think participants take the characters from a known book and write new adventures for them. I think this "fan fiction," is usually allowed by the authors of the original works as long as no one tries to sell or profit in anyway from using the characters someone else has created and owns the rights to.
