How can there be no one who read this series? Okay, now you have to go to the library and get these books out so we can talk about them! The author's last name is Godberson.

You should read these books if you like romance and historical fiction.

I haven't read this and don't particularly care for romance, but I love historical fiction, and romance can be fine if it's done really well. I'll look for this and see if I want to read it.

Could you give a small summary cause historical fiction caught my eye!

This is a book series with four books in it. So this is a summary of the first book: (if you want a summary of any of the other books tell me)

The book takes place in 1899. Elizabeth Holland is getting married to Henry Schoonmaker, but she does not love him. Instead she loves Will, who works for her family. Her best friend Penelope Hayes is mad at Elizabeth because Penelope loves Henry. Elizabeth's lady maid, Lina, loves Will also. Elizabeth's sister likes Henry, too. One day Elizabeth falls into the Hudson Bay and dies (supposedly). Read the book to find out if she is really dead, and if she is, who took part in her drowning.

The romance in this book series (in my opinion) is done really well. The romance is a HUGE part of the series, so it depends on how much romance you can take.

OH LA LA!!!!! This sounds pretty good Choco!! I think I'll look into it... Now, what type of romance is this? What I mean is Twilight or kind of normal (a few kisses...)?

A word about the romance...

I started the first book, but never finished it due to some pretty inappropriate romance. I dunno, although they don't go into the details...you know what happened. Something I absolutely didn't approve of. But the story line was intriguing, just wish they had toned down the romance, and had left out that unnecessary stuff.

I read the first book and I really don't think the author meant anything inappropriate, but then again...
