So, a LotR...

So, a LotR quiz....

1) Who is your favorite character? Boromir. He's absolutely awesome.  I cried a lot when he died. :(

2) Who is your least favorite character? Besides all the evil people,...probably Denethor.  Even though I felt sorry for him...:(

3) Do you realize what would have happened if Boromir hadn't died? Yes.  First off, prpobably, even though he repented, the temptation of the Ring would be too strong and he'd fall again.  So now, besieds Sauron and Saruman, now we have a lust-filled, extremely dangerous guy to deal with.  And that woild add another sied to the plot and make the work altogrther too long.  That aside, if Boromir didn't die, the Orcs wouldn't have captured Merry and Pippin and they would never have come to the Ents, so a delightful people would be largely undiscovered, And I love ents.  If Merry and Pippin hadn't found the Ents, thenIsengard wouldn't have been destroyed.  So now Saruman is still making trouble, and we still have to deal with him.  You see how the whole plot can hinge on one event?

4) Which is your favorite book? The Two Towers.

5) Why?  Because everything happens in it that leads up to the Return of the King. (Which in Elvish is "Entulesse i-Aran.")

I can't do any more-I'm tired after typing all that! Now you now why my comments are usually short...

This is all based on what I've seen in the movies! :) 

 

 1) Who is your favorite character? Arogorn, a truly brave knight... 

2) Who is your least favorite character? Denothor. He deserved what he got. 

3) Do you realize what would have happened if Boromir hadn't died? Umm... Not until I read Mattie's post... That said it all. ;)

4) Which is your favorite book? I haven't read them yet. It's on my reading list. If you had asked my favorite movie I would have said The Return of the King.

5) Why?  Because it is so action packed and amazing. I absolutely adore all the movies. BEST EVER!!!!!

1) Who is your favorite character? Samwise, Éowyn, Faramir... Gollum (shut up)... Gandalf, Frodo... Yeah, I kinda like 'em all. 

2) Who is your least favorite character? Erm... as I said earlier, I quite like them all, and I do not get this Denethor hated thing that appears to be going on in the fandom. (Though I personally place a great deal of blame on the movies.) He wasn't evil; he was BONKERS. 

3) Do you realize what would have happened if Boromir hadn't died? Maybe I'm too trusting, but I don't think he would have fallen for the ring again. I do think it would have affected things with Denethor... if Boromir hadn't died, he might not have gone crazy. 

4) Which is your favorite book? The Lord of the Rings. It's all one book, peeps, though it is typically divided into three volumes. 

5) Why?  'Cause it, like, totally rocks.

Dear Mattie,

I'm doing a lit. study on LOTR right now! 

1)  Sam.  Either Sam or Legolas  or an elf.  I love elves.  They're so mystical and mysterious!

2) Sauron.  I think you're supposed to not like him, but anyway, my real answer is, no offence, but Boromir.  Even though he was a great leader who really cared about his people, I thought he was kind of full of himself.  That might have been the ring;s influence as well, though.  I really don't know.  Wait!  Gollum.  Final answer:)

3) Yes and no, for even if Boromir had not died, Frodo and Sam would have still left for Mount doom on their own, because Boromir still scared Frodo. So Frodo would have still left and the Company would have still split and Merry and Pippin would have probably still been kidknapped, because Boromir would have still been injured, etc.  I don't know if much would have really changed.

4)  I'm not sure.  I like them all.  Probably either the first one, or the last.

5)  Because the first one is so charming.  Very settled and clear to understand.  The last one because it's the end.  The Happy ending.

I also like Gimli.  Great questions!

@Stargaze- If you like Elves you'll love The Silmarillion.  Maedhros= <3<3<3<3<3  And Idril Celebrindal too!!!!  I won't even start on Feanor...or Nerdanel....*sigh*
