Is there anything in Young Adult Lit. that really bugs you? For me: it would be the main girl characters. You know. The Mary Sue's of the story.

Oh, yes, I hate Mary Sues. I do try to avoid them, but sometimes they're inevitable.
The prevalence of vampire romance in them also annoys me, because it means I can never find anything worth reading at my local Barnes and Noble. Luckily, that's just one store, but still.
And then there are all the fantasy cliches. I try to avoid them, too, but they're still there. (On that subject, I highly recommend The Tough Guide To Fantasyland by DWJ).
I also hate it when authors don't know how to use commas.

Highly second the recommendation for tTGtF. It's one of those books I always have close by when I'm writing. (That, a Webster's Dictionary, No Plot No Problem, a book of writing quotes... oh, and the notebook with my worldbuilding notes in it.)
If you want to learn about fantasy clichés, try How Not to Write a Fantasy Novel, if you think you can stand it. (Where you live it may have been published under the title Eragon. It's by Chris Paolini.)
