Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Harry Potter- Book vs. Movie
I'm incredibly bored...
I'm incredibly bored right now (doing homework, and I have vowed not to touch HP until I finish my work) so...
I've started reading the HP series (yes, started) and right now I'm on #3. I watched the first two movies, then read the first two books. (a horrible experience, choosing the movie before the books, but I didn't have a choice) And I noticed there were quite a few things left out in the movie. *cough* Deathday party *cough* *another cough* Dumbledore's scar *cough* So I just want to know if one of the HP movies is better than its book counterpart. (or vise versa)
Oh, and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 movie looks really good. Is the book better? *crosses fingers* :-)

Erm, I like all the books and the movies, too. the Deathly Hallows movie could have been better, but it was still good :) I especilly liked the parts when Nagini pounses, couse they made me jump out of my seat. It's to bad I didn't see it in 3D ;)
spam guy says "utyh". You too, yeah? yep, me too!

Re: Nagini: Really? At that point I was so glad that it wasn't 3D. They didn't put this one in 3D at all, though, because they didn't have time to get it all just right. The next one will be 3D. (...And that's what you get when you follow MuggleNet obsessively. XD)
Anyway, yes, the movies are decent but the books are better. In particular I hated movie three, because that was my favourite of the books.
I'm glad you're finally reading the books! Are you enjoying them?

Sadly *pouts* I haven't seen the movie yet. I think the books are probably better but the movies are pretty well done.... I can't choose. But I think every movie that goes with a book doesn't have all the details but they can still be well done so....I can't decide *pouts again* *rubs eye for some odd reason*

I think that in all honesty, the second movie was the best one for following the book. (It's also the longest by several minutes; that can't have anything to do with it, can it? *looks pointedly at Mike Newell and David Yates, who severely shortened and totally wrecked the GoF and OotP movies*)
Although the sixth movie was probably one of the best just as a movie, if mostly because Jim Broadbent is such an awesome Slughorn.
I do like the movies, they're just (for the most part) not like the books.

@ZNZ: Yes I am, very thoroughly. I'm on the third right now. 'Tis satisfyingly creepy. :-)

@Brynne. I think the second movie is the best, too.
