I haven't finished Mockingjay either - I've only read the first chapter of it. But I honestly can't stand Peeta. He's so annoying, and he and Katniss have nothing in common at all. Strong? I think he's anything but!

Spoiler Alert for Catching Fire: Halfway through Mockingjay... not likin' Peeta so much anymore. (ZNZ, you'll see why.  Great.  Now you're going to hate him.:D)  And, I'm getting to see the real Gale, which makes me like him even more.  Hm, well, I guess you're right. :) He doesn't exactly seem strong in the sense that he's always getting injured, but he tries to be strong for Katniss and help her through her pains, and is willing to do anything for her.  Katniss is really annoying because she only thinks about herself sometimes, and that's when I really like Peeta because he never does.  I guess I like his devotion. It was kinda funny/sad, because when I was reading the second book, the death I was the saddest about was Cecelia, who you don't even know, but the fact that she left three children behind was heart-wrenching.  And Mags.  I loved Mags.  Are you reading Mockingjay right now, or do you need to borrow/buy/whatever the book before you can finish it?

Finished Mockingjay, so I am going to avoid this conversation in order to not gve anything away.

Ugh. Vampire books. Enough is enough. Honestly. What happened to Dracula and garlic? And now there's vampire poetry? *headdesk* And I disagree with the separate section notion; that would just encourage them.

Well, I finished it.  I wonder if ZNZ has... overall, it was a good storyline and a great series.  A tad bit too much violence and gore for me (okay, WAY too much) but I was surprised by it.  I really didn't like the ending... it wasn't satisfying at all.  What'd you think?

@Katie: I don't think she meant that there was vampire poetry, I think she was shuddering at the idea. Also, I want it known that I don't mind vampires, if they're well done and actually real vampires. This means that they are vulnerable to garlic, sunlight, and holy objects, and that they do not sparkle. My problem with the vampire takeover is firstly that I dislike romance and secondly that it sometimes seems like it's all that's available.

@RD: No, I haven't finished Mockingjay. My teacher is reading it to my class, and we just finished chapter two. I won't have finished it for quite a while. Also, I really hope Haymitch shows up soon, because right now he's the only (living) character that I don't feel like strangling.

Oh, gotcha.  Well, inform me when you're done reading it so we can have a heated discussion. :)  I'm not going to lie to you, the ending is VERY VERY disappointing.  And I ended up adoring Peeta, and I hope you will. I can't wait to talk about this with you. :) hehe.

I've seen Dracula in my school library when I was about five or six, but I've never actually read it. What's the copyright date, because I might just be able to get it free on my Kindle. But only if it's past 1923.

CAPTCHA says eewk. What's he saying eewk at, maybe he doesn't like something.
