I've read Sarah Dessen. I hated Dreamland and Just Listen and Lock and Key, but loved That Summer.

Judging by the quality of the books on your list, I'm going to assume that 10 is the highest score and one is the lowest rather than vice versa.
I've read the Bartimaeus trilogy, The Book Thief, and The Hunger Games, and agree completely with you on them.

I agree about Lock and Key, Dreamland, and Just Listen. I recommend skipping them. The best Sarah Dessen books are The Truth About Forever, This Lullaby, and Along for the Ride, in my opinion.

I haven't read any of those, but I've had several recommendations to read Maximum Ride and The Hunger Games. What genre are they?
(November 5, 2010 - 6:03 pm)
I don't know about Maximum (I think it's sci-fi, though), but The Hunger Games are futuristic/dystopian sci-fi. Very awesome. (My eighth-grade English teacher is reading Catching Fire to our class right now.)
