1. Ted Nasmith. Period. I dare you to disagree!!!

2. Jef Murray. I've met him!!! His works are fantastic.

3. Jenny Dolfen. Very obscure, but wonderful. I found her pictures on TolkienGareway.

Alan Lee. His style is so perfectly suited to Tolkein that it's scary. My huge one-volume LotR was illustrated by him, and he's stunning.

Seriously? I didn't like him that much.  Isn't he realated to Anna Lee?? And you have a one-volume tolkien set? cool..... If you go to www.tolkiengateway.net , go to the top right hand corner, and click on images you can find all those artists I was talking about...tell me what you think and also please submit a comment to the lotr thread if you like Tolkien.

Spiderwick Chronicles is illustrated by Tony DiTerlizzi.

ASoUE is done by Brett Helquist. I like him too!

Catherine Karina Chmiel is pretty good too. I only like some of her pictures tho...

It worked!!!  Here is a pic by Jenny Dolfen!! It's called "Fields of Gold" and it's of Amarie, the one who loved Finrod Felagund, Galadriel's brother.
