I personally agree with Lady Darcia. Maybe it's just that they're intended for younger readers, but they bored me horribly and there seemed to be no plot--thus making it, as Darcia said, "pointless." They had their moments, but I really didn't enjoy them. The writer seemed inexperienced; they were just so predictable and tedious. Not to mention corny. I mean, really? The Tail of Emily Windsnap? Cute. *eye roll*

At the risk of sounding rude, I completely and totally agree with Mary W. Falls in the "Aquamarine " genre of. . . what else? crummy mermaid stories.
