Chatterbox: Blab About Books

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner
So this book...

So this book is by Stephanie Meyer. While looking for a new book, I spotted the thing, and, curious, picked it up in order to see if she could write something without a mushy "BELLA: oh, Edward I love you, EDWARD: Grunt. you will remain human." scene on every page. Turns out it is about the vampire in Eclipse that surrenders during the battle between Victoria's newborns and the Cullen/Werewolf Pack duo. You know, for those of you that read or saw Eclipse, the one that dies after Felix rips her head off? Turns out, Smeyer cannot write a non love story. Bree falls in love with a vampire named Diego. Here are the last few sentences.

"Felix," Jane says, "Take care of that, will you?"

"Bella," Edward whispers, "close your eyes." She did so.

Felix lunged forward.

I closed my eyes. The End.

So yeah. I came to the conclusion that I would not read it seconds after picking it up. That doesn't happen very often with me. Please comment.

Yeah, I mean I'm interesting in reading Twilight once my mom will let me cuz it doesnt seem like the kind of book I would read. So this book is about the same, huh?

I enjoyed it MUCH more than the Twilight books, great ideas, great story. EXCEPT FOR THE END!

After seeing Eclipse (it was for a friend's b-day, so it's the only Twilight movie my parents will ever let me watch) I got really mad at Felix for killing Bree. The book sounds interesting (no Bella and/or Edward) but the ending seems pretty lame.

One more thing, I saw a grown up reading it. (I saw the cover on the Internet before.) Oh, I can't answer Rachel's question because it might be in one of the comments that aren't showing up right now. Laterz!

Victoria was like... not in it at all. It was annoying... As was Diego. And the writing style. And the STUPID INCONSISTENCIES.

But, on the plus side, it was short.
