Chatterbox: Blab About Books

The Hidden Sun
My dad's friend...

My dad's friend just got a book published called The Hidden Sun. Has anyone else heard of it? Here's a description:

Eliana and Rinan are in love. But there's just one teensy problem: Eliana is the future queen of Bariwon, sworn to marry the winner of the Shoginoc, and Rinan is a Royal Guardian, who can't marry until retirement. Meanwhile, the power-hungry Abrecan, govorner of the district Erd, is plotting to take power. The choice Eliana and Rinan make will affect their kingdom for generations to come.

OK, there's a lot more to it than that, but this is a real rollercoaster ride that no one should miss. (Blame the grammar mistakes and stuff on the publishing company. They didn't make a huge effort to correct them).

I can't think of anything in the Hidden Sun that's inappropriate for your age. I have a ten-year-old sister who read it, and she loves it!

It only got published a month or two ago, so it's not very well known yet. You might have to wait a while to get it. I'm not sure. Oh, and by the way, the little summary put on the back of the book is kind of deceptive. It only tells a small part of the story, so don't be too surprised if you find yourself wondering in the middle of the book or so, "How the heck does that fit in?"

That sounds good! I'm not entirely sure whether it's the kind of book I'd like to read or not, but I'll definitely look into it.

If  anyone likes this book, you can be watching for its sequel in the next year or so. It's got a long editing process to go through for now.

So. Has anyone been able to get the book? Just wondering, because this thing (I'm not sure what to call it. Writing thread? Strand?) has kind of died.
