Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Fly by Night by Frances Hardinge
I just finished...
I just finished reading this book and I thought it was pretty good. It had a pretty well thought out twist at the end (which I always like). Has anyone else read it or books by Frances Hardinge?

I love this book! It's excellent. I love the plot, and the characters, and the description, and everything! I've also read The Lost Conspirracy by the same author, and it was just as wonderful.

I enjoyed her book Well Witched, but I haven't read anything else by her.

She's written more?! I'll have to look for that!

I started reading it but it just confused me.

I really like this book! I'll have to look for others by the same author. In some parts it was a little confusing but I thought it was overall great. It was very funny, I thought, as well.

I really liked Fly By Night. Even the ending. The whole book totally surprised me because I hadn't been expecting it to be that good, but it was epic. I read it a long time ago, though... I'll probably reread it this summer.

I just went to her website and she's working on a sequel (to FbN, that is)! Yay! She's still writing it, though, so it may take a while. This will be one of those times when I'll read the sequel to a book whose plot I don't remember, unfortunately. I've read so much since FbN, I'm forgetting much of it now...

I agree with Mary Liz, it was EPIIIIIC! I loved it. I almost checked out Well Witched at the library, but didn't because the description creeped me out a little bit. I might sometime.
There's a sequel?!?!?!?! YESSSS! *dances* I always thought there should be!
I <3 Saracen, by the way.

I posted a Wanted poster of Sarcen on DtE.
I take back what I said about the sequel. I'm not sure what stage it's in right now, but I think it's actually out in Britain alreadly, just not in the US.
And yes, it was epic (I certainly agree with both of you there), and it surprised me, too. It was one of thoose books I kept seeing in the library but take a month deciding whether or not to read it. They're actually usually wonderful, though—Alex and the Ironic Gentlleman was another example of one...
